CON Report 7-12-03

Well lots of stuff to get through this week, so I’ll just get started...

DB News

-Changes to the Orders of the DB have been debated by the DC and the Consuls, and the following decisions have been made:

•The new usable Sith platforms will be any Flight Simulation or Real Time Strategy Platforms

•The new usable Obelisk platforms will be and First Person Shooter Platforms

•Krath will remain as Writing and its various derivatives

•All members will be able to participate in any event, regardless of order, unless specified otherwise.

To clear something up, this does NOT mean that every computer game in the world can now be used. There is a process of approval that is being created. Until it is finished the current gaming platforms (JK/JO/TIE/XvT/XWA) will remain the same.

-The Shadow Academy has two new courses!! The first is a mIRC course and the second a Meditation course! Go check them out!

-CSP Invitational – Clan Scholae Palatinae is hosting a DB-wide invitational JK/JO competition. For details check the Taldryan message boards, where I pasted the original news post. It is a month-long competition, so I hope to see lots of Taldryan participation!!

-The OHC Cup has been started again, and had its first competition on Friday July 11 in #obelisk at 7pm EST. Look forward to many more!

-The KHP also has a new competition started now, creating a story to possibly be used in a Sith battle! Also the July KMTs and “Dark Prophecy” competition have been released, lots of stuff to write about!! (see djb.org for details) – also a note for the KMT’s, please submit them in .txt form instead of .doc at the request of KHP Alanna.

-Interclub Training Nights will be held every Saturday, at 4pm, in #Outerrim, get in there and represent Taldryan!

Taldryan News

-With the announcement of Octavian as the new Ektrosis QUA, Ektrosis is now in need of a new AED. Applications have been opened up to the entire DB and the requirements to apply are as follows:

-Been a member for no less than 4 months

-Hold the rank of at least GRD

-Be able to respond to emails within 48 hours max

-Have some good ideas for the house

Of course if you don't fit all of the qualifications you can still apply if you explain how you will make up for it. Applications are to be sent to QUA Octavian ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) and CON Kir Katarn ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]). Applications are due by Friday, July 18th!!

-The Clan Taldryan website is working again, since all of minos.net is now functional. So for the latest clan/house news and updates go to: http://www.minos.net/~taldryan/news.php

-PCON Chamberlain’s Timelines project is in full swing, and I’m glad to see people have volunteered to help out. If you would like to assist him, send him an email!!

-I am also in need of someone to fill an unofficial clan role as “webmaster”. Sharad was kind enough to leave us the website and I have all the coding for it…but being the website-illiterate person I am it does not do me very much good. So if you have ANY experience with PHP, email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and you will become my new favorite person!

-Are you on IRC and bored? Try joining #archanis, #dinaari, and #ektrosis! They’re great places to meet other clan members and to chat, hope to see everyone there!
