Dark dudes and dudettes,

And I though it was crap last week with all that MSBlast nonsense going on. At least if something goes wrong with your computer you can reboot, stuff it and then ring someone professional for help if it's really bad. Why doesn't life come with a reset button? Crap and things at home is the reason this report is late, and for that I can only apologise.

Anyway, enough of me talking crap what's going on in your lives? :P

This week, as part of my whole M:HM thang that I've got going on I've seen a huge number of new people join the DB, and we've already been assigned a few of them, even though it may be a little longer to actually see them on our Rosters. Got to admit, things are looking good.

Khobai has seen fit to create a Jedi Outcast Capture The Flag League. Each Clan and the DC is to put forward a team, those 8 teams are split into two divisions and then play the other three teams in the division twice. After that it goes into play-offs and championships. Confussled? Me too, so don't worry about it too much. I do need to know how many people in the Clan have got the game and would you be willing to take part. I'll be taking part, Lorad "I'm-great-cos-I'm-in-the-GMRG" Desmos ( :P )will probably take part, so we obviously need some more. But, of course, you're all taking part in the CSP Invitational Competition and so have been practicing like mad over the last couple of weeks :P Drop me an email to let me know if you're interested or not. And why you are not, if you aren't.

The GM's got mail problems and Jac should really be off doing some work for his finals, so of course that means the number of Twi'lek dancing ladiez in #DB and #Scholae, who normally hide in fear of their lives, has nearly doubled, as has the number of kids. Get yourselves in there! As well as that it seems like half of the DC is on leave right now. If ever you wanted to stage blood-bath of a coup and steal the unholy and awesome power of the DB, then now would probably be the time to do it.

It appears that lots of ingenious people in the DB are already getting their hands on pirated copies of Jedi Academy. I'd normally say "God bless Kazaa" but of course the DB does not condone piracy of any kind. To that end, Khobai and the DC have decreed that until it is officially released, it will not be recognised or supported by the club.

Competitions:

CSP Invitational Competition.

Mage has launched a two tier competition for Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast which will run for the whole of August, and seeing as Mage has done a runner, will be run by Lorad Desmos. Clan Best of Order Awards

What I am asking for is job descriptions based on the 3 titles decided upon in the MB thang. So job titles for the temporary positions of (in alphabetical order :P ) ;

Krath Scribe

Obelisk Executor

Sith Conqueror

Job descriptions for those three will give the chance to win a shiny Clan level medal.

I'll also want a story about a day in the life, covering all three people having to work together on one job. And that section gets you a shiny Clan level medal as well. If that's not clear enough, this is two separate pieces, each with it's own awards. Six medals between everyone. Go to it!

Completion date for both is 29th August.

Inter-Club Training Event - Cool!

Mav has organised a training event which should become a regular event. Part of this will be the clubs we have allied with, the Star Vipers and the Rebel Squadrons being the main ones, but there are a few others too. What is going to happen is that on Saturday May 17th at 4pm EST (think that's 9pm GMT) in Undernet channel #Outerrim there will be loads of other people waiting to take part in every multiplayer Star Wars game you can think of. Krath Monthly Topics:

Even through they are Krath MT's, you Sithies and Obbies can do them too, and it would be good to see you do them. This months topics are a little bit different from normal and the details on each are;

A Parody Contest. Write a parody of a song, changing the lyrics to something Dark Jedi-based. This is a fun contest, considering the majority of submissions will be comedic in nature. All submissions must include the 'based on' information (for instance 'Coruscant Woman' based on the song 'L.A. Woman' by The Doors). Songs can be submitted to Erryc ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]) either as a .doc file, or if someone is particularly crafty as a sound file (.wav/.mp3).
With the DB settling into its new home on Antei, and many Clans creating new homeworlds, who else is out there?

This is something that will probably be developed a lot in the coming months, but to kick it off, I'd like you to create a race that is living out in the unknown regions. Give me physical/cultural/political descriptions and tell me a bit about their environment. Also, why have we not heard of them before? Thanks to KE Anshar Kahn for the idea for this KMT. Fight Nights!

A series of JK competition nights have been worked out by the Shadow dude, full details on the DJB.org news page so it's easier for you to read it from there instead of my adding it here. The best way to get into a fight (apart from stealing my alcamahol supplies) is to sit in the Obelisk channel on IRC (funnily called #Obelisk) and shout at people until they fight you.

IRC: should you not have an IRC program, let me know and I will tell you how to download it and install it and then run it so that you can speak to the rest of us happy little cyber-geeks. Channel #Scholae is now being used by us.
