I didn't write a report last week, so this week's report will be a little bit longer than usual :P

Obelisk Stuff

1) Starting now, Jedi Academy will be recognized as an official DB platform. That means you can play JA tomorrow at the ICTE, and it means you can get CFs for JA wins.

2) The first season of the OHC Cup came to a close last week. I want to congratulate the OHC Cup Champion AND the OHC Cup High Scorer: Obelisk Templar Shaithis. Shaithis put forth a tremendous effort during the OHC Cup season, and he certainly earned both titles. Shaithis will receive an automatic invitation next season to defend his title and his high score.

3) I plan on getting Jedi Academy this weekend. Once I evaluate the game, I will decide whether or not we go ahead with the CTF League or go with a Siege League instead. That decision shouldn't take more than a week.

4) It's been suggested by more than one person, that I start some kind of single player event (I know at least a few Obelisks are sick of multiplayer). I spent about an hour checking out some potential SP levels on massassi.net. I haven't picked a level yet, but expect to hear more about it sometime this weekend.

Really Dumb Poem Competition

1) Yeah, so this is still going on... There's 2 weeks left until the deadline. So far, I've only received 5-6 submissions. I hope to get more this week.

Rules:

1) The Topics: Raping, Killing, Pillaging, and/or Pimping.

2) No word used can have over 5 letters ("cat" is legal, "kitten" is not).

3) No alliteration, consonance, or any other "clever" poetic device can be used. Don't try to be intelligent.

4) Minimum Length: 50 words (or 50 things you consider words).

5) Your poem must be really dumb and make no sense. This is the most important rule. Any attempt at making sense will result in instant disqualification--seriously.

GJW Stuff

1) Planning for the next GJW is commencing. We still need level designers for TIE, XvT, and XWA Single Player missions. If you're interested in helping out, please email me ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]).

Other Stuff

1) I downloaded Allegiance last week, and despite it being a somewhat outdated game, I was still pretty impressed. I think Allegiance has a lot of potential, if we can get an Allegiance Guild together. Anyone interested in joining an Allegiance guild can email me or talk to me on IRC.
