Here we go folks, sorry about this being a little overdue.
1:Important news.
In the last week we've lost our CON Goatboy to the DC, so a big congratulationS to the new SHW. Jonuss Rai was elevated to the position of PCON but with Goat gone it looks likely he will be the new CON. GRD Li Mu Bai has changed his name to Pichpemmetonhet.
Also, I'm still accepting applications for the positions of AED and
TET. I've had three apps for the AED job but I'm hoping for more. Plus I still need a volunteer to design a new HMR website.

4: Comps
From the QUA's desk: Marka Ragnos Base Design Comp
Specifics:
To design the new Marka Ragnos Cathedral on Tarthos. Submissions to
be in either a text or graphic form to your friendly neighbourhood QUA.
The comp will last for the month of November.
Start Date: 11/1/2003
End Date: 11/30/2003
Take the persona of some ancient powerful Dark Jedi. It must be some
non-descript person, so no official characters, but some ancient Jedi
that didn't make it to quite such heights of power. Tell his, or her,
story.
As this is an epic tale, you may start from the very beginning of his
life to the very end, or even before and after, however you prefer to
write it. You may tell of how he came to the Sith, or the Dark Side.
. . his struggles at creating his own 'empire' or perhaps just his
struggles at conquering his own planet. He could have had contact
with the true Sith Lords at one time or another, depending on the
time frame you choose to place it in. Keep in mind that if you're
looking to the future. . . there are ways that certain characters
don't have to die, in case you get too attached to the man or woman
you're writing about. I'll let you figure that out, though. The goal
is to tell the story of this character in a way that they are a
solidly developed character at the end of the tale, one you could
possibly even use in future stories, or even broader House and Clan
run-ons.
We're expecting entries to be in the 10+ pages range.

Turning Points"
Write about an important turn around in your character's life (doesn't need to be your main DB character). This can be any important happening in his or her lifetime which really changes the future attitudes or life as such. If possible, it should not deal with the split.
Minimum is 3 pages Arial font size 12, if you prefer you can send in a poem instead.

"The Prophecy"
A lone apprentice grows weary in the heady, incense filled observatory. His eyes droop for a moment, the kestrel-quill pen slips from his fingers, smearing ink across the yellowed linen parchment. He loses focus on the Oracle, standing in the Observatory of the Dark Hall. His eyes are open, but distant, mouth moving with unintelligible pattern.
As his eyes drop a final time, words escape from the Elders lips, he scrambled to scratch the words, flowing in blood ink across the page
I wish you good fortune
And strength
Against challenge from others
To be influential
And want for nothing
Always in service
Here into this hour
For upon this night
They are watching you walk
Through the shadows, and sideways
Into the deepest midnight
The moon lit upon your face
Will you stand proud
Or will you falter?
For in this game of consequence
None shall be left standing
If your are not steadfast
They see you step
They count your days
And you live out the moments
One by one
Until they come for you
And drag you to oblivion
These words fill the heart of the apprentice with icy dread. He runs screaming from the Observatory, blood running from his eyes in thick rivers, staining his white robes. Dead, an hour later, he is found; the pages torn but decipherable in his cold fingers.
The Dark Council hushes the incident, but within a day, the entire Krath Order and a few among the Sith and Obelisk have heard these words. What do they mean? How will they react?
