Quaestor Report

Every time my computer crashes and I lose what I've writen for this report, this report gets shorter.

  1. Sith War

HLK earned 67 points, which places us in 4th place. We were only THREE points away from 3rd place, but oh well. Among the 7 houses, we're right in the middle I suppose. Although, only 5 houses actually participated.

I placed 3rd in the XvT SP, 2nd in the XWA SP, 1st in the Fiction, and 2nd in the Humor sections.

SO Jeff Loruss placed 3rd in the TIE SP section.

Three of our members participated in the Sith War, that's about half of the house participating. I would have liked there to have been one or two more, but oh well. I'm sure we'll do better next time, after HLK has built itself a little more.

  1. New Member

Please welcome SO Jeff "Tiger" Loruss to the house. I'm very happy to have such an experienced and active member in our house. He's already participated in the Sith War, which is awesome.

  1. Aedile?

I am not taking applications for AED.

  1. Malik

SWL Malik became PCON of Clan Naga Sadow, which is why I am writing this report and not him.

  1. Medals

SO Manesh was awarded a STAR OF ANTEI for finishing the Anagram Challenge in less than 24 hours.

SO Manesh was awarded a CRESCENT WITH RUBY STAR for finishing 2nd in the Anagram Challenge

SO Manesh was awarded a CLUSTER OF FIRE for participation in the ICTE.

SO Manesh was awarded 3 CLUSTERS OF FIRE for participation in the GMRG Tuesday Showdown.

Am I the only one who's getting awarded for stuff? The easiest way to get medals it to participate in the ICTE of GMRG Tuesday Showdown, and all of the little competitions that show up from time to time.

  1. Conclusion

I'm SO Manesh, and until a week ago I was Aedile of this house. However, most of you know me as the QUA of HLK from April 1999 to December 2000. In fact I was the longest running QUA of this house. In many ways I've come full circle from those days.

I am not big on elaborate reports. You will not hear things like, "Eminence" from me. I will not refer to today as "the Fifteenth day of November, of the Two-Thousand and Third year of the Empire." I highly doubt you'll hear the word "whereas" in any of my reports. Except this one.

I usually refer to myself as "Manesh", and I do not like adding titles to my name. I find it pretentious.

I can be very flexible. I believe everyone has a chance to be a great member, and I will not give up on any of you. I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I believe in collaboration. If you need to take a break fine, but when there are competitions that will prove our greatness to the rest of the DB, I will hope that all of you rise to the occasion.

I think that's all I wanted to say.

SO Manesh (sith)/QUA/Ludo Kressh of Naga Sadow
