House Report for Galthain of Satal Keto

Words of Wisdom:

-Read instructions carefully, always send competition submissions where they’re supposed to go, and attach your ID line.

-CC your friendly neighbourhood QUA on your activities so they won’t go unnoticed.

-Recruitment is always a high priority, let’s get some more fresh blood in this House.

-As we all know the Sith Order is in pain. This is not the time to become complacent, we cannot let it die. Stand tall my Brothers and Sisters, defend the honour of your House and your Order by remaining active. Your leaders are exploring new options to rekindle the fire.

ACTIVITY:

Just the usual email chatter.

HOUSE NEWS:

-We bid a fond farewell to Saraii, who has chosen the path of the Rogue. Her levels of activity and enthusiasm have been an inspiration to us all. She shall be missed.

-We welcome PRT Cam’k Seale (formerly PRT Luke Morin) back into Galthain.

-We welcome APP Final Sage into our ranks. Welcome aboard!

-Construction of the new Galthain website continues.

NEWS FROM THE DB IN GENERAL:

-Our new High Warrior has begun the task of reviving our Order. Project “Sith Revival” will focus on building an Order website, expanding our gaming base, creating new missions, and generally improving communication.

The next edition comes out on December 1st, send any submissions before then.

• “The big big hurdle between "signed up" and "member in Clan" is the Phase 2 course - especially in the gaming orders. Without knowing folks in the DB, many newbies just don't get the needed games. Thus, Phase 2 will become an optional course - and folks get to take it after they are in their House. Instead, they can also participate in a House or Clan competition. That gets the same result.

• With this change, members will join their Clan as Apprentices. We've come full circle here.

• There will be a way to get NOV, ACO and even PRT through Shadow Academy advanced training. It's open for everyone not yet up to PRT rank, even those who graduated by the old system. (The PRT stuff will take a while to create as it will be a new course. There'll be an interim way to earn that rank - and I mean earn, not get it for free ;-) )

• Anyone currently an Apprentice can graduate either way - we however encourage you to finish your SA the old way. It'll be faster for you than to wait for the new stuff to be coded.” -KPN Kaiann

-DB membership is increasing steadily. If you know anyone who would be a good Dber, give ‘em a nudge, we could always use new recruits, try to get them into Galthain. Let’s make this a high priority. The new SA structure may help us get some people.

COMPETITIONS AND OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO TO GET NOTICED:

-You can always get an idea of what you need to do to advance in the Brotherhood by going to www.darkjedicrypt.com and looking at our newly formulated promotion guidelines.

-Dalthid has 5 comps going now, see the PCON report. Send submissions to him, cc me. The earliest due date is December 13, I think we can swing that.

-Join the ACC if you like to write. I recommend it highly.

-Join the run-on training team and learn how to help your Clan in future comps.

-The Dark Voice, could always use fiction submissions….I’ll even help you edit stuff (depending on how much time I have).

-There are always Shadow Academy courses for your enlightenment.

-You can always do some MP flying and earn yourselves some CFs.

-Although the Sith Mission Competition itself is over, feel free to make more missions (plots or all that crazy computer stuff) and send them to Gord. They would be greatly appreciated.
