End of Year Report

Brethren...
To some up this year for me anyway. Earlier this year saw the end of my Obelisk career and with retirement. But...i was not satisfied taking the back seat, i returned and became a Krath, settling in this this great house only to become it's leader.
Since coming here, i have seen what an active house is all about. It's good to be apart of a winning team, and not only that, to be it's leader and one of it's focus points also. I would like to thank each and everyone for you for your efforts this year. Give yourselves a pat on the back and a wee round of applause. Thankyou!
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my staff, KP Strategos, KP Vassan, DJK Kris & Epis D'hak, give yourselves a pat on the back and a round of applause! :) I really don't know how this house would function without them, and i don't know what i'd do without them :D Great work guys ;)
You may have noticed the old EH custom uniform pic. This was made for me by my dear friend, 'Beowulf', or Lone^Wolf as some of you may know him. But he's just 'Hev' to me. He made this for me to put into my reports at the end of each year. This pic is called 'Father Aza', as you can see, i have a candy cane instead of my lightsaber, a christmas hat and a shabby (hook on) grey beard, also 'Ducky' has a wee x-mas hat on too :) I thought it would show you guys my non-serious side.
Please note - in this report there shall only be last minute updates! Strat has coverd just about everything, so i will not bore you with more of the same. As i feel i should write just on my thoughts for the year, and also my thoughts for next year :)

Major DB Comp reminder from the CON!
Skill of a Warrior
This is a reminder to everyone that there is an ongoing DB-wide MP competition going on. For those who haven't heard, this competition involves using new maps in JK, JO or JA and playing against other DB members with these maps. This is a great way to try out various maps instead of always using the same on. Also, wins will earn you Clusters of Fire! And matches can be played at anytime.
All competition details can be found here. Also, for all those interested, the Thursday Night Bash (from 4pm-10pm EST in #obelisk) can be used as a meeting point for anyone interested in using these maps.
Lastly, I urge all DB leaders to advertise this competition. It's a great way to get members active and having fun.

The End of year annual rant!!!
Well here we go, and there we were! We've made it to the end of the year. Many people have joined, many have left, but those who are here now are the ones sharing this report. Which is a tad obvious, but means much more to me than anything.
Now, awards should be coming out soon. As is customary in this clan (i was reminded of this), that both myself and Strat award our TET's and the RM. I will be dishing out something special for my AED so he's not left out ;)
TET's - if you feel that one of your Tyro's is deserving of something, then please send your rec into both myself and Strat and we shall discuss it.
Right, enough of that, now lets dive into my grubby little dark mind.
2004 - Sometime in January we should be getting more info about the upcoming GJW. I have high hopes for this house during the secound GJW. I also deman 100% participation from everyone who is breathing in the House during the comp. I do not want to see people doing nothing unless there's a good reason. I am not a slave driver, but i do like to see the team pulling together when it's time to do so, and especialy when something this big and important crops up. So get those pinkies ready for some serious action!! :D SECOUND PLACE IS NOT AN OPTION!!!
During 2004 i hope to see the House numbers swell, this will mean that Loreseekers Phyle is once again opened. Aslong as i can get atleast 5 people in there straight away only. This is something that will be dealt with as it happens.
I will have more time on my hands in the new year (hopefully), depending on shift times etc. But, your all being moulded into a self sufficient Krath House, you do not need me to poke you in the back and say 'DO SOMETHING', you know what to do, you know what comps are on, you know where to go to find out something. If you ever require assistance, then myself and my staff will be more than happy to help you. Do not feel nervous about approaching any of us either by mail or on mIRC. We're here to help you! :D
Master/Students - TET's, in the new year i want to see all your current Master/Students in your Phyle. The reason being is i want to see who is training and helping who. I will then release the list in my report to show everyone who is no longer available to become a Master or Student. This will help everyone out in finding a Master or Student.
Competitions - So far this year i have not had the time to sit down and think of a comp for you guys. But i promise in the new year i will be making some for you guys to compete in :) I'll try and keep it origional and new(ish). I want to exploit each of your individual writing skills and styles. I think more House comps should reflect this to bring out the individual and promote a self awareness when writing a peice of fiction or poetry. Stay tuned ;)
And finaly......
I would like to take this opportunity to announce my annual leave. I rarely take any leaver as i feel a Qua should always be around when needed. Though i have a more than capable AED to back me up, sometime's we all need a little break. I will be off for 2 weeks to visit family and friends over the X-Mas period. I would like to think that each and everyone of you do likewise. But thats up to you. When i return 2 weeks from now i will come back and do a report straight away. I will, however, be answering mails when i can in this time. Sometime i maybe away and not able to check my mail, but please be patient i will reply!!
I would also like to wish each and everyone of you in Qel-Droma a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!! It's been a great year, and next year WILL be even better for us! :D But, do please take good care of yourselves over the christmas period, it's a happy time, but in some cases, it's sad time where many mistakes are made by people that get people hurt. So please be mindful my Krath and come back safe and sound and ready for action.
On saying that...it would ruin my christmas if anything happend to one of my Krath. I'd get purty angry and annouyed as it would dampen my spirits and cause a bad end or new start to the new year. So...be mindful and keep your ears and eye's open ;)
Finaly....yes you can breath a sigh of releif as my annual final rant is now at an end for 2003. Remember what i have said, my thoughts and well wish's be with all of you and your families over the Christmas holiday period. And with that thought in mind.......your all dismissed! ;D Now get drinking you heathens!!! And take good care of yourselves and eachother!!
