Consul Report

Greetings all,

Three topics to be covered in this weeks report.

First and foremost I would like to congratulate Dalthid on his promotion to Krath Epis. In my report 2 weeks ago I asked every one of you to write me, not only replying to the AWOL check but also to list what you have done around here in the past 3 month.

My reasoning was that if you guys maybe got confronted by how little most of you do a sense of shame would kick in and you would start to increase your involvement with the clan or finally see that this is not the place for you.

I should have guessed that for the most part my words were nothing more than ashes thrown into the wind.

Only Dalthid and mKel made the effort of doing as I requested. Sure the list of things Dalthid put into his reply were impressive, but it was time to honor his willingness to go that last extra mile just to do what he is asked to do. Time and time again he went over and beyond the call of duty, and no, this is not just a phrase!, trying to make this place more attractive for you people.

Sometimes it worked sometimes you people didn't really care enough. I think it is about time every one realizes the competitions and ideas just don't grow on the big competition tree where we just pick them up and serve you. It takes time and effort to come up with a half way interesting competition, so it basically would be at least good manner if you didn't have the time to take part to say so. As it is currently, the normal way appears to be just ignoring most comps. All who do that and don't have a valid excuse (now don't come say I said you were lazy Nikko! I didn't say it first time, but you missed that point ..) should know this can't go on like this forever.

Being a member of this club and this clan is indeed of your free choice, but that day you hit the submit button and joined this place you have agreed to take at least a little bit of responsibility for your team, house , clan and the DB as a whole.

No one is forcing any of you to stay, but as long as you do, on your free will, expect to show some dedication to this clan and a willingness to but some time and effort to make it a better place not only for the others but for yourself as well!

And for those of you who think they have been doing enough... I am inserting here what Dalthid did so in the past months since the feud:

  • Got the CSK Stadard promo guides complied and approved

  • Participated in the Clan Monthly Run-On competitions (Jac approved)

  • Engaged 9 battles in the ACC including the DB wide Challenge of Ashvroth

and the Celebration ladder (which he currently stands in the finals of!!)

  • Awarded: Cr-1R, Cr-1S, Cr-1E, CoF x3, DSS x3

  • Participated in the development of ACC vendetta/feud guidelines (still

in progress)

  • Submitted 6 DV entries

  • Participated in the Epic Story comp hosted by the KHP (still waiting

results)

  • Developed the framework and graphic interface for the new DPBA website

(w/Halc and Pred)

  • Guided three training matches in the ACC (1 a month) for folks who

needed help

  • Proposed new ACC framework to the CM for the guidance of Judges and

Trainers (approved/in progress)

  • Proposed a new ACC medal, provided history, graphic and qualifications

(denied)

  • Started/Developed 4 Clan wide competitions, provided space and graphics

  • made 7 million credits in SWG :) to go along with my master skills...

(That's a serious amount of time spent on the game ;P)

  • Completed the Krath Test of Skill at the SA

  • Completed the Run-on course at the SA

  • Participated in the HM's first anagram challenge

  • Placed in 2 KMT's (so far)

This brings us nicely to the importance of activity reports!

Starting this week i am expecting each and every one of you to start doing an activity listing. All you have to do is just write in a text file the things you do for the DB right after you did them. Did you play a JO match or 5 put it in, it won't cost you a second. And you are the one most qualified to write down what your activty for the simple reason that your team leader, house leaders etc. might miss something here or there. So the one benefiting most of this would actually be you! just put the date of the first day of each week and list below it what you have done so far in this week as you do it, till the first day of the next week, there you put the date and start listing again. If you learn to do it as soon as you have something to put in it would be easy fast and you won't forget any thing you have done. If you have done nothing just put that... maybe it will help you make something the following week!

If you keep your record up to date it doesn't matter if you send a copy of it to your team leader/house summit/clan summit each month, every 2 weeks or every week. For now though I will say you are required to send this report to your superior every 2 weeks. I know if I said each week it would seem much work , though it really isn't!

Summits please starting now enforce this.

Of course if you are on LoA it is ok if you don't send a report, if you are sick or have any sort of RL overriding circumstances it is ok. but if you are here you will do it!

This brings us to the second point of this report.

I just have forwarded to you a mail from the Lord Chamberlain about the fiction part of the Capital Gains competition. to me it seems a good way to start your activity listing by competing in this DB wide event!! You have a number of clan and house competitions running atm, participating in these too would be a fine thing to do... don't get me wrong, not for me, not for the DB but for you!

As you see we have a custom ship configuration in place, so your story might include why and how this came to pass. As Mav put it the rules on this competition are really loose. Use that to your advantage! some people complain if each and every point is not explained, yet this way nothing you do would be wrong! So again this IS a Brotherhood wide competition. This is NOT another one you just can ignore, even if you are not a krath or a writer, that doesn't mean you can have a go at this one. Placing or winning does not only reflect on the clan, that's secondary, but will put YOU in the spotlight DB wide!

Don't miss the chance!!!

Last but not least the AWOL check!!

I will copy the list form last weeks report and add to it the names of those who sent me a reply during this past week.

If you have mailed and you don't see yourself on the list please

Summits:

Dalthid,

Selket,

Vessicant;

Brat

Arso,

WW

So yup all summits are alive, now clan members:

mKel

Nikko

Shadow

Waza

Bane

Cam'k

Morrigan

Marius Bob

Armus

Final Sage

Exar Ragnos (thy for the reply, but could you next time put an id line or at least the name? :P)

Pug

Maradis

Draynor (idline!! idliiiiiiiiiine! :P)

Enah

Dufar had mailed me some time ago, so I know he is not completely dead, only it would have been nice to see a reply from him too

and that was it!

So from the 38 clan members , only 23 are accounted for , this means 15 are missing somewhere!! now What should I do about all these people? Ask the MAA to move them to rogue? Strangle them first and then ask the MAA to move them to rogue?!

Any way as I said I intend to carry out my plan of moving all those whose names are not this list to the rogues after the next 24 hours, starting when I hit send, have passed. Summits you can do a last ditch effort and mail the missing people, if you know they are alive but on LoA or something please tell me!

Thanks every one for your attention!
