Due to the database CLONK of last week, this is for almost two weeks, but then you won't have to bear with me much longer than normal because things have actually been pretty similar :-P

• I've been busy with my little project, I think most of the results should make it to their addressees this week.

• The RPG beta is getting ahead, most testers have their character sheets and we're currently scrutinizing a lot of numbers. I'm also getting a huge bunch of constructive suggestions, although not every one can be taken. Most fixes revolve about some or the other number that is perceived too low or too high. Of course when I get two opinions about the same variable of the system, one saying it's too high and one is too low, that means it's about right and you just can't please everyone :-P

• We finally, after like seven attempts, have a first version of the HTML beginner course for the SA in hand, but this will need some editing and expanding, especially in the area of examples. We're on it and hope to get it out still this month.

• There were a bunch of problems in the SA code thanks to the database crash and server move, I've fixed most of them so that all SA-internal links work. I know there's a few remaining pointers to djb.org in the Test of Lore notes, will upload a fix soon.

• It looks like we did not lose any exams - if you are missing an exam submitted Jan 17 or 18, or have received a pass notice on one of those days but the exam is not on your dossier, let me know.

• I am impressed with how well the membership coped with the database problems. I would have believed the problems being much more a hindrance to junior members who just joined, but it seems we have not lost any recruits through this. Great work, everyone!

And with that, you can return to completing your exam. After all, that's what you were doing before you read this, right ? ;-)
