House Cestus report for 1/30/2004

Hey everyone. This is my first official report as Quaestor of House Cestus, and it's been a busy week indeed for me. Between making a new Cestus website, participating in the Rite of Supremacy, and settling into the new position I've had my hands tied pretty well. I haven't sat in the Quaestor chair in quite awhile so it brings back alot of memories. This is the best job anyone in the DB could ask for and I'm glad it could be with you guys, you truly are a great bunch of people, and I'm sure we have plenty of great times ahead of us. Alrighty, on with the report...

• Rite of Supremacy
  

Very important. The Rite of Supremacy is a competition between all of the Obelisk Houses in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood for the titles of 1'st House, 2'nd House, 3'rd House, and the ability to restore a specific house "Blood Rite". It started weeks ago, early February, and tomarrow (Saturday) is the last day. Cestus are VERY close to winning this, but we need everyones participation to do just that. So what does this mean in laymens terms? If you have the time, you need to log onto an Undernet server on IRC, join the channel #BloodRites, and play Jedi Knight/Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy Multiplayer against any other Obelisk of the DB outside House Cestus. A win gets you 5 points, and a loss gets you 1 point. If you play on Saturday, each match is plus 1 points, so if you played on Saturday you would get 6 points for a win and 2 points for a loss! Everyone who participated so far (or will participate) in this will be rewarded with a medal and/or promotion, so get out there and kick some ass. • New Cestus Website
  

Yep yep yep, after spending a week coding some HTML and harrassing DC members to make some graphics, the new House Cestus website is up and running! It's up at Geocities at the moment, temporarily until I can find a better server to put it on. The website as a whole doesn't look half-bad in my opinion. • We need a Brigade Sergeant
  

I'm currently accepting applications for the position of Brigade Sergeant for the "Blades of Malice" Brigade. At the moment, I have recieved ZERO applications for the job. A Sergeant is responsible for the wellfare of his/her Brigade, and is a great stepping stone to higher command in the Dark Brotherhood. You will have to be able to meet certain expectations for the job, but the rewards are well worth it. All applicants will recieve a "SGT Duties/Expectations" document I have written, to make sure you know and understand them. The minimum rank according to the Dark Side Compendium is that of Guardian, but I am willing to give a certain degree of amnesty in this case. • Rollmaster open for Applications
  

Since taking Quaestor the position of Rollmaster of House Cestus has been vacated, so we need a new one. I promised that by my report I'd have a job description for the position written up, so here it is:

Rollmaster: The Rollmaster has the responsibility of assisting the Quaestor and Aedile in administration of the House, specifically in welcoming new members, helping them to complete their basic Shadow Academy Training. Once new members reach the rank of Acolyte, they will be placed into Battleteams. The Minimum rank for Rollmaster is that of Protector.

I've spoken to our Consul BloodFyre about this, and he's going to be setting us up with an @clantarentum.net mailing list very soon. That way, if any of us wish to e-mail the entire House, we don't have to type in individual e-mail addresses (like I had to do just now :P). It will probably be something like [Log in to view e-mail addresses], and it should be in place in time for the next House Report.

• Future Plans
  

Once a Rollmaster and Sergeant have been appointed, we're going to arrange a meeting to discuss the future plans of Cestus. What to do with it, where we want to take it, etc. Once done, we'll set an outline of goals that we wish to accomplish, and release those plans to you guys.
