Aedile Report #2

As my first week on the House summit ends, I had just a few things to say so this might be a short report. First, sorry again if I haven’t been around on the Boards as much or participating in email discussion. I wrote my first Chem. lab for the semester, only 15 pages but I’m still proud of it. Anyway, I hope to get some DB stuff done today.

Seems like a quiet week in the Brotherhood. Once more I would like to welcome our newest member, ACO Ramser, I’m sure he’ll fit in great here however, to aid with that I have assigned him to study under Rhaub D’ar Aghasett in the M/S program. I know some people have been busy in the message boards, and we have several medals given to us this week. RevengeX was awarded a crescent with Amethyst star for his victory in one of the KMTs, and I completed running my first competition with awards going to Rhaub (1st), Vail (2nd), and Jordan McKell for taking third. Each was given a crescent for their participation. I know I’m missing stuff so please tell our Quaestor so it can go in his report, I just wanted to give a quick synopsis of the week. So congratulations to everyone who somehow did things for our clan this week.

Next a few words about the M/S program: I should mention that the system now seems to be working fine and hopefully we should begin seeing promotions soon. Remember, it is the duty of the Master to keep track of his student’s advancements, if you need a new set of the requirements let me know. The master at the completion of the requirements will write a letter to the Quaestor and I detailing what his student has done for each requirement of that rank. I will also need a letter from both the student and the master (one each) which evaluates each other’s ability. That is in this letter we hope to find any problems that have occurred and stop them before they get big; take this as a kind of performance review at the completion of a project. After reviewing the material the Quaestor and I will make recommendations for promotion as each of us are able. Upon receiving the next rank, the student is able to begin on the next set of requirements. Masters, it is your job to see the student does his tasks well and does not advance to quickly or too slowly, between one to two months per rank (especially if they have no position of leadership or responsibility) is just about right. Finally, I soon believe that a few members of the House will prepare for the Jedi trials. I am asking if the Quaestor and the current Masters, when the time comes, could sit down and come up with something that will be a suitable test of all the student has learned as well as a fitting tribute to the end of training. I would do it myself but how can I see the test without taking it first? And as always if anyone has questions please email me.

Lastly, we have a few new competitions running. Our own HAD initiation is being run by the Quaestor, I don’t think we want a new ritual just something we all had to go through to become House members. Second, RevengeX’s topic “Dark Council, Maybe?” is still open so please write something and send it to him. The Krath Murder Mystery is still ongoing, we haven’t done much yet but if we buckle down now I think we can still pull off a great story.

Wow, short report specially without being able to check things on the site. I hope everyone has a great week and can find some time for our House and brotherhood (you can tell I’m starting pledging again soon!) we have a great Organization but it is up to us to keep it that way.
