Taldryan Consul Report 2-22-04

Well I’ve got a pretty good amount of Clan news, and not a lot of time to write it, so here we go!

DB News

-The Third Sith War is underway! This event is open to ALL orders, not just the Sith. There are single and multiplayer events for XvT, XWA, and Allegiance, as well as writing and graphics events! Since the Sith in Taldryan number very few, it is up to the entire Clan to participate in whichever events they can so that we can do well! Clans that do the best will be awarded new Starfighters as possessions, we WANT those fighters to add to our fleet, so lets kick some butt in this competitions! All submissions are due Saturday, March 13th! Taldryan is currently in 4th place, lets kick it up a bit!

-The Obelisk Rite of Supremacy ended quite awhile ago, but we are still waiting for results from former-OHC Khoabi, hopefully he should have those to us soon!

-Just a note since we are all Star Wars nerds, there has been a credible rumor circulating that the original Trilogy will be released on DVD as a four-DVD set sometime in September! Hopefully that’s true, because we’ve all waited a long time already!

-All of those Capital Gains submissions you sent in have been judged, and we are now just awaiting the final announcement from the Lord Chamberlain on the winners, this should be released soon!

-The KHP released new clues for the Inter-phyle competition, which can be found on djb.org. This competition ends on Feb 28th.

-The Krath Monthly Topics for February are “The Flame” and “Blind”, see djb.org for details, and the Inter-Phyle competition is up and running, so get going on that if you’re involved!.

-The ACC is running smoothly!! To go check it out and get started on participation, go to http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/acc/. I’m a member, so if you join you will be able

to fight me!!

– Weekly Multiplayer Competitions –

Members of ALL orders are welcome at all of these weekly Multiplayer competitions, and you are welcome to play ANY game platform sanctioned by the Brotherhood (i.e. JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, and SWGB). Cluster of Fire medals will be given out for every 1 victory or 3 losses, and the player with the most wins for each event also receives a Crescent! These events are great ways of staying active while honing your skills and earning medals all at the same time!!

-“Moonelf’s Quest” in #gmrg on Mondays from 3-8pm EST

-“Tuesday Showdown” in #gmrg from 2-10pm EST

-“Thursday Night Bash” in #gmrg from 6-10pm EST

-“Battle of Antei” in #sith on Fridays from 10am-5pm EST

-“Interclub Training Event” (ICTE) on Saturdays at 4pm in #Outerrim

-“Space Jam” in #sith on Sundays from 1-5pm EST

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place got Dark Crosses as well as their Crescents, and as of this point all but a few of the medals should be awarded, Good work everyone!

-For those of you who read the news on djb.org, you probably noticed that two more Taldryan members were named "Sons of Taldryan" this week. Congratulations to Shadow and Sharad, who can both use the Taldrya name!

-Next on my list is something very important for House Ektrosis. Due to several occurrences and after discussing it at length, Proconsul Sharad and I have decided to step in and make a few changes to the House, so that it runs more efficiently. Here are the changes and their explanations:

Change #1) The Master/Apprentice Program will be ended – The makeup of Ektrosis (lots of DJK and under, not too many DJK+ members) does not lend itself to creating a good atmosphere for a Master/App program. Therefore from this point on it will be disbanded until future notice. If anyone would like help with their writing, they can email me and I can either find someone to help them, or assist them myself.

Change #2) The Activity-based AWOL checks will be ended – Activity is the basis of a good house, but AWOL’ing people if they don’t have time one month isn’t something I want to do. So obviously we want you to participate in everything you can, with the emphasis on CAN. If you’re really busy in real life…that obviously comes first. So participate in what you can, don’t worry about being AWOL’d if you don’t.

Change #3) The fairly constant bickering/arguing that has become habitual between several Ektrosis members on the MBs will end.- Talking on the message boards is a good thing, especially the amount that all of you Ektrosians talk! But several of you (and I think you know who you are) have a bad habit of provoking each other into arguments and fights. All this does is loosen the bonds between Housemates, which makes the house less of a cohesive unit. So please guys, try to be tolerant of each other, and work WITH each other for the betterment of Ektrosis.

Change #4) Several new House Competitions will be put into effect – These competitions will be aimed at getting Ektrosis to examine its rich history, and work together instead of against each other. I will release these competitions in a separate email soon after I send out this report.

That’s all the changes for now, I hope that they make being in Ektrosis much more enjoyable for everyone. If you have any other suggestions or comments, please send me an email!

-PCON Sharad and I have been discussing reinstating the “Tallys”, a type of in-clan award from way back. Look for more info in the future.

-One of the goals for Sharad and I is going to be to increase Clan communication, so if you want to get a head start on that, then start talking on the MBs and on IRC more often!

-The Taldryan JO server is still up and running! The IP Address is “216.55.167.111”, and the Password is “Talpwnz”, get out there and play!
