Taldryan Consul Report 3-14-04

Well I’m back from my Spring Break (unfortunately) and I start class again tomorrow (I’m excited!...only not at all). I just caught up on all my emails and other stuff, so now I’m ready for the report. I’ve got some important stuff to tell you, so here we go.

DB News

-Today is the LAST DAY for the Sith War! All submissions are due by 11:59pm EST TONIGHT (Sunday). So get those last-minute submissions in ASAP!

All submissions are due Saturday, March 13th! Taldryan is currently in 3rd place, lets kick it up a bit!

-The Dark Council announced that the new Combat Master of the Antei Combat Center is Gryffon De'Urtha Cantor!

-The OHC and LCH are working on getting an inter-club Capture the Flag (CTF) league going for both JO and JA. Teams will be formed from the entire DB to play in this. If you want to participate, email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] along with the names of any other members you wish to play with on a team, and I will forward your request along.

-For any of you who haven’t heard, the newest game that is catching on quick in the DB is “Allegiance”. It’s a mixture of a flight sim and a real time strategy game, and is really fun. The best part of all is that its free! Just go to www.freeallegiance.com and download it, along with the newest patch and SOVLogin and you’ll be ready to play!

-The Inter-phyle competition ended a few weeks ago, and the killer was announced as the Oracle, Trevarus Ci-Long Caerick! To get the full explanation, go here: http://www.krath.org/Explanation.php

-DGM Jac will be starting a “study group” of sorts to learn ASP.NET using C#. Email him if you are interested.

-There have been a few changes made to the structure of Guilds and Societies within the DB. To read about it, go to the Dark Side Compendium (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/dsc/index.html) and read the chapter on Guilds and Societies.

-A quick note on ACC Character sheets. The new CM has decreed that only members with the rank of Dark Adept or above are allowed to use Form VII for lightsaber combat. If you are currently using this form and are under the rank of DA, please edit your character sheet accordingly.

-The Krath Monthly Topics for March are “The Interrogation” and “Dark Deal”, see djb.org for details. There is also a new cooperative competition called “Through the Looking Glass” in which two DB members write together, see djb.org for details on this as well.

-The Antei Combat Center is a great place to be active and have some fun writing battles against your fellow brethren!! To go check it out and get started on participation, go to http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/acc/. I’m a Judge, so if you join you will be able

to fight me and I’ll get to read your posts if I happen to Judge one of your battles!

– Weekly Multiplayer Competitions –

Members of ALL orders are welcome at all of these weekly Multiplayer competitions, and you are welcome to play ANY game platform sanctioned by the Brotherhood (i.e. JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, and SWGB). Cluster of Fire medals will be given out for every 1 victory or 3 losses, and the player with the most wins for each event also receives a Crescent! These events are great ways of staying active while honing your skills and earning medals all at the same time!!

To make it easier for score tracking, please try and use the following report format if possible: Winners report to the host - PLATFORM (PIN#1) PLAYER#1 SCORE – (PIN#2) PLAYER#2 SCORE

Taldryan News

-If you haven’t done so yet, go to the Clan Taldryan website and login to complete the first round of voting for the ‘Tallys’, Clan Taldryan’s very own member-voted awards! The second round of voting will probably start this week.

-Since the inter-club Capture the Flag league is coming up, all the guys in Taldryan who play JO have been practicing whenever we can. So if you want to practice with us, come into #dinaari and see if we’re playing!

• As you all might have noticed after a look on your inboxes, the new DJB mailing lists are up and running. These lists will be automatically updated through the database, so no-one should ever worry again if he/she is still on the correct lists. With every position change or transfer the mailing lists will be updated to reflect the roster changes. The new email addresses for Taldryan are:

You probably all got emails informing you that you have been removed from the old Taldryan Yahoogroup. We will be switching over to these automatically-updated lists from this point on.

-I have changed my email to something much easier to remember. From now on if you want to email me, simply send it to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. This is merely a forwarding address to my previous Yahoo account, so if you have my old email addressed already saved in your address book there is no need to change it!

-It’s time to announce two new members of the Cohors Praetoria! The newest additions to my honor guard are….Godo Nurok and Shadow. Godo made a huge multi-mission battle for Taldryan in the Sith War which took a ton of time, and Shadow has been kicking ass as QUA, congrats to both of you!

-The Taldryan JO server is still up and running! The IP Address is “216.55.167.111”, and the Password is “Talpwnz”, get out there and play!

-All Medals, Promotions, and Transfers can be found in Proconsul Sharad’s weekly report
