House Byss Quaestor Report

Krath Pontifex Jonaleth Isradia was stately behind his desk of dark, varnished mahogany, a grim apparition of shadows and robes, whose features were sharply outlined in the faint light fading in through drawn curtains. The Barons sapphire blue eyes blazed in the darkness, lit by a light of their own as the First Master of Byss looked down on the antique paper journal before him, and began to write his weekly status report in a smooth, flowing letters

The state of the Brotherhood

ØThe Guilds of other games will now become new Societies, each headed by a member who has a quasi standing in the Dark Council as an advisor, but is otherwise a normal member of other positions. The Commander of the Guard still heads that Society, but also is leader for the council of societies. These changes are now reflected in the DSC.

ØGM Firefox is on leave.

ØAwards and Medals have been revised slightly.

ØThe Independence Games 2004 have begun! Every leader (DC and Clan Summit) is preparing an event for the IG, and Gilkane, myself and Vithril have already submitted ours.

The affairs of the House

ØWe have an egroup [Log in to view e-mail addresses] - that is for all members to use.

ØThe identity of House Byss is the spies, informants and information gatherers of the Dark Brotherhood. With this in mind, we can tailor our writings, beliefs and works to fit this unique flavour.

ØDont forget to CC me on all the work and communications you submit to anyone, so I can track what youre doing.

ØThere will now be ZERO tolerance for any IRC channel antics. ZERO. The summit as a whole has been pushed TOO FAR now, and we have all agreed no more softly softly. If you are in the channel, leave your personal arguments outside, do not swear, be respectful, and if someone asks you to stop doing something to them, DO IT. The entire summit of Byss is very close to each other, and we all act with each others full confidence and support. If I am not present, you will treat the orders of the other Summit members with as much respect and alacrity as my own, despite what you see others doing. You will set an example, even if you see others failing to do so.

ØCompetitions participation has dropped off again to unsatisfactory levels. Most activity at this point is emanating from the Summit itself, and this is not how it should be. We as Summit leaders set an example, and thus we participate, but we have duties and responsibilities in the Brotherhood as a whole as well as admin and support tasks to perform. If the summit can find time to enter comps amongst their other duties and real lives, I expect everyone else to be able to enter at least ONE competition every month. Medals and promotions depend on this, and I do enjoy giving them out, but I wont give them away for nothing.

The Krath in specific

ØACO Vicera Syn is being looked after by Vithril and has created some FANTASTIC artwork.

ØDJK Jaysun Adumarii Isradia posted to the message board and run-on and entered the Aedile competition, started a new work of fiction and been awarded a Cr-1Q.

ØKP Vithril Isradia has been performing his Aedile duties. He has created a truly MAGNIFICENT website for Byss and Office space for me (as well as my Sigil), posted to the Run On and message boards and won Isradias Birthday competition, earning himself a Cr-1S and been, been awarded a Dark Cross for his website work, entered the Interrogation KMT and has been on IRC.

ØJH Seiryte Kaienn Zinor changed his name to Shio Shioklou Edykin, his email address, and been on IRC.

ØKP Imrahil Celebrimbor Isradia has been performing his Tetrarch duties, posted to the Run-On, has been present on IRC and awarded a Cr-1Q for entering the Aediles competition.

ØNOV Relhok Nek is in-active. He will be removed next week.

ØNOV Sevik Gawl has rejoined us this week and has posted to the message boards.

ØPRT Szandor has been active over the message boards and submitted to the Run-On this week, and has been on IRC. He has been awarded a Star of Antei for his work on the Hands of Kun website.

ØJH Cipher Koranian Isradia has been performing her Tetrarch duties and has posted to the Run-On.

ØGRD Mako Henymory is on leave for another two weeks.

ØDJK Mune Metsukai Isradia has been performing his Tetrarch duties (including running two competitions), been active over the message boards, has been on IRC, has training his Apprentice, has submitted to the Run-On and won second place in the Aediles competition! What a star!

ØACO Ran Passik has been on IRC, has posted to the message boards and Run-On, been awarded a Star of Antei for his work on the Exars Shadow website and has passed his Run-On SA exam.

My thoughts given form

ØAll ranks up to Protector (INI, APP, NOV & ACO) will be directly trained by Vithril, who will no longer take dedicated Apprentices but focus on these ranks. Once the rank of Protector is reached, the PRT must then ask a DJK+ rank to train them through the Trials of Knighthood, as a Master wont be assigned, but must be picked by the trainee with the trainers say so. This is because one must WANT to be a DJK, not simply wait for it to happen. Available masters include: Myself, Imrahil, Mune and Valon.
