House Cestus Report for 4-3-2004

Another week, another report. The Sith Rite of Supremacy has concluded, and the (albeit a bit late) Obelisk RoS results have been released, medals and promotions have been given, and I can safely say we're all extremely happy with how we came out. 1'st Place in the Sith War, and 2'nd Place in the Obelisk RoS is awesome and I'm not lying when I say we truly are the greatest House and Clan in the Dark Brotherhood. Great job, all of you! Alright now, some exciting things are coming up, so let's get to it.

• Independance Games
  

The Independance Games were first held last year, and they turned out to be very successful. What is the IG? Well, it's a Dark Brotherhood-wide competition that the Headmaster (Kaiann) oversees, and each Summit member of the Dark Brotherhood runs. Each Dark Council member, Consul, Proconsul, Quaestor, and Aedile submit a single event to the Independance Games which can vary from fiction writing, to a Jedi Knight Fists only competition. The possibilities are pretty much endless. In total, there should be at LEAST twenty different events, which gives everyone alot of variety. You don't have to participate in every single one, just pick the event you like most and have at it. At the moment each event is being collected by Kaiann, and they will all be announced the day the games begin. The start date for this is April 12, 2004. I'll post more information on this as soon as it's released.

• Battleteam Restructuring
  

With the appointment of Protector Zill as the new Sergeant for the Blades of Malice Brigade, we're going to be rearranging each Battleteam. Zill made a suggestion in arranging the Battleteams by time zone, and I think it's an excellent idea. It may or may not work, depending on how many people live in which region, but if we're able to arrange members in such a way then it will definitely be done. What I need each of you to do, is to send an e-mail to the House Cestus mailing list (you can reply to this report, if you want) and tell the House which part of the world you live in. If you don't, you may be placed in a battleteam in which everyone else is at a different time zone then yourself, and it will make it extremely hard to meetup and participate in online Battleteam activities. So make sure you do this! A few people have already done this, and I know who you are, but the rest of ya need to get to it.

This is very important if you want to be an active member of Cestus, and have a fun time in the Dark Brotherhood. It's a free chat program (and much more than that!) where you can meet up with other DB members and discuss anything you'd like. You can send files, and even arrange multiplayer matches! You can download it (it's free) at the link above. Once you install it fill in the values such as name, e-mail address, etc and log on to an Undernet server such as Random EU Server: eu.Undernet.Org or something of the like. Once connected join channels #DB and #Tarentum. If you have any questions about IRC, just e-mail me and ask away.

• Interclub Training Event
  

This is a really cool event that everyone should participate in if they can find the time. Every Saturday, members of the Dark Brotherhood, Rebel Squadrons, and other online clubs meetup to play multiplayer games such as Jedi Knight, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter, X-Wing Alliance, and Allegiance. It takes place on IRC in the channel #OuterRim. It starts at 4 PM EST and lasts about 8 hours.

There are quite a few weekly multiplayer competitions held on IRC besides the Interclub Training Event, so if you can't make that, maybe you can make one of these:
