Decision regarding Headmaster Mage

This decision didn't come easily, but in my mind I knew it had to be done. Mage's vision for the Shadow Academy and mine differ greatly.

So, I have decided to not accept Mage's retraction of his resignation. He will be rewarded for the work he did for the Shadow Academy. For this, it doesn't matter that he wasn't quite going in the right direction. After all, he put in many hours of work.

Applications for the position of Headmaster will not be accepted at this time.

Yours and his version may have been different, but his' was obviously cool and going well. I thought you wanted to work for the members, not only for your own visions. Well, this was certainly a step in the wrong direction.

Arania,

Please send comments like this to the Grand Master directly. You know better to post like this in public forums.

Thank you.

You know as well as I do that mail probably means it won't even be read. Nor is FF ever really present on IRC.

Oh, we are back to the old days of "don't dare say anything against the DC?" Tsk, tsk... I remeber being told that wouldn't happen again.

And if you don't want the comment function to be used, what about taking it off again? Then we wouldn't be able to express ourselves at all, problem solved, yay.

hmmm comment function what could that stand for :P maybe it is so people can comment on something :P

Arania,

FireFox reads his e-mail, and I seem to manage to talk to him on IRC on a daily basis. The reason that you haven't gotten an answer is that you haven't tried.

This is not about being able to express yourself and being able to criticize the DC. You know very well that I am always for people questioning the DC. However, there are some instances, like this one, that things should be said in private.

This is a public web page, and anything on it can be read by anyone, especially potential members. Comments like the one you made, may deter people from joining.

These comments are meant to be a positive feature. Keep negative coments to private channels.

LOL Jac.. I tried. A lot of times. Result? FF is always AWAY. Asides, his comment would be "you don't need to agree" as usual. The only hope to get a meaningful reaction from Foxy seems to be in "public."

Only positive comments eh? Did it dawn on you that new members reading your attempt to supress opinions will be driven away by that more than by openly talking about issues? Guess not, but hey, it's true.

As I said... take the comment function away. Limiting it to "positive" comments is... well, I guess everyone can see what it is.

LOL....ok Arania...

You don't have to agree..:)

I think we're both a little right here, so, let's end this.

A little discussion is never a bad thing, Jac, so long as it's kept respectful as possible to everyone involved. I'd be lying if I said that sometimes people using this comments feature didn't annoy the crap out of me, but I'd far rather people felt that they could comment on something without being shouted down, and therefore actually aired their opinions, rather than had to keep silent through fear or anything like that.

Power to the people is a good thing in many ways. :)

Good lord, you guys are getting me all wrong. :P

I'm not against commenting on things, I'm not against discussion. Power to the people is a good thing.

All I'm saying is that there are certain things that are better left to e-mail.

And for the record -- I never shouted..:) LOL
