Taldryan Consul Report 4-18-04

Alright well I finished my big presentation yesterday, so I finally have time to get out my Consul’s report. Also the DB main website is finally functioning again (hopefully for good), so I can access DB news, so here we go…

DB News

-Last week marked the 1-year anniversary of the Dark Brotherhood’s split from the Emperor’s Hammer. I’d like to thank those members who stuck with us during that tough time!

-The second annual Dark Brotherhood Independence Games have started! These were first held last year and were a tremendous success, so you should all check them out this year! Here’s a quick description of them: Every leader from Aedile up submits a different competition idea, and they are all collected and put on a website. Then you can pick which ones you want to participate in to earn points for your Clan! You can do 3-4 events, or every single one (there will probably be around 40 total), whichever you like! They’re fun and great warm-up for the GJW!

-The Independence Games have been extended an extra week because the DB site has been down (and therefore the GJW has been postponed a week as well)

-DGM Jac has released the details of “Prestige” and “Credits”, two new systems that are a huge part of Rebirth! Everyone should read over these systems and get really excited about how cool they are! You can read about them here:

• Jac is offering FREE HOSTING for all DB Battleteam leaders and above. This space can be used for making Phyle/Brigade/Flight/House (for example brigadename.darkjedibrotherhood.com) websites and will have subdomain addresses and personal FTP access. -For any of you who have trouble connecting to the Taldryan JO server, there is another server now available. The IP for this server is 82.208.136.26 and the password is YMCA.

-The Krath Monthly Topics for April are “ACC” and “My own Death”, see djb.org for details. There is also a cooperative competition called “Through the Looking Glass” which ends on the 23rd (today!).

-The Antei Combat Center is a great place to be active and have some fun writing battles against your fellow brethren!! To go check it out and get started on participation, go to http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.org/dbjedi/acc/. I’m a Judge, so if you join you will be able

to fight me and I’ll get to read your posts if I happen to Judge one of your battles!

– Weekly Multiplayer Competitions –

Members of ALL orders are welcome at all of these weekly Multiplayer competitions, and you are welcome to play ANY game platform sanctioned by the Brotherhood (i.e. JK, JO, JA, XvT, XWA, and SWGB). Cluster of Fire medals will be given out for every 1 victory or 3 losses, and the player with the most wins for each event also receives a Crescent! These events are great ways of staying active while honing your skills and earning medals all at the same time!!

To make it easier for score tracking, please try and use the following report format if possible: Winners report to the host - PLATFORM (PIN#1) PLAYER#1 SCORE – (PIN#2) PLAYER#2 SCORE

Taldryan News

-We start the Clan portion this week with some bad and good news. The bad news being that House Dinaari’s current AED Crix “Uberman” Madine, is retiring from his position as Aedile. Crix has put in a lot of work, both as former Archanis Quaestor and as Aedile of Dinaari, and we thank him for all his hard work! He’ll be staying in Dinaari, so don’t worry we’re not losing him!

-The good news is that we already have a member ready to take over as Aedile! And the new Dinaari AED is….Obelisk Templar Pimp Benevolent Whiner! Ben is a very active presence in Dinaari who can almost always be found on IRC, I’m sure he will be a great addition to the Dinaari House Summit!

-As you may have noticed, Clan Taldryan was rewarded for it’s third place finish in the Sith War. Our reward was a certain number of fighter craft for our Clan, specifically the following:

12 Hyperion-class modified starfighters

6 Scimitar Assault Bombers

36 TIE Interceptors

Hyperion-class fighters are a special type of fighter given to House Archanis a long time ago. I managed to dig up all the stats on it and finally claim it again as a Clan possession, so be proud that Taldryan has its very own custom starfighter! If you’re wondering, the Hyp-class fighter is similar to a TIE Defender, with a few improvements and a change in overall design. We’ll be adding the breakdown of Squadrons and squadron assignments to the Possessions page on the website soon.

-I forgot last week, but I’m going to do it now…its time for a new Cohor’s Praetoria! The two newest members of my honor guard are…Mal’ari’carun and Dark Sabre! Both are already listed on the leader board for the Independence Games, which makes me happy!

-I’ve received all the requests for ‘Sect’ membership I think I am going to receive. Therefore I will discuss a few things with all the House and Clan summit members and then I will release a full list of the official Sects and get the ball rolling!

-The Clan Heritage program is still going on (behind the scenes), I have a ton of information to sort through and its Exam time, so look for some officially released stuff this summer!

-All mailing lists should be fully functional now, so [Log in to view e-mail addresses] and the lists for all the Houses should be working normally

-Jac, JaM3z, and Cyberguy are working hard on making sure the DB site is up and stays up. Hopefully all the bugs will be ironed out very soon, but it’s working now so I’m happy!
