Headmaster Report

With not much to say about the Shadow Academy (hey, I was away :) ), I'll dedicate this week's report to the Independence Games.

Which brings us to the current submission count as the first item. I have 424 submissions from 78 people on file. This is of course a raw count - a few may be duplicates or test runs and there will obviously be game submissions for the Obelisk Events that haven't come through the system yet. I also know that the top number of submissions from a single member is at least 26 - because that's what I just counted for one who was unsure what did and what did not go through.

Which brings me to the awards to be given out to the top overall individual points leaders at the end of the game. These are approved by Jac, and once you read this, you know you want to submit more than you did so far :)

If we get at least 500 submissions from 75 or more different people:

1st: Star of Antei

2nd: Dark Cross

Okay. That's not much. But that would also mean practically no more submissions from now on. Let's look at the next step:

If we get at least 750 submissions from 100 or more different people:

1st: Steel Cross

2nd: Star of Antei

3rd: Dark Cross

Yeah, as if. I know you folks can do better, thus we'll go to:

If we get at least 1000 submissions from 125 or more different people:

1st: Grand Cross

2nd: Steel Cross

3rd: Star of Antei

4th and 5th: Dark Cross

So, that sounds more like it, right ? But then, why stop here. We do the Independence Games only once a year and while we're at it, we may go really far with medals.

Thus, for the unlikely but possible case that we get at least 1250 submissions from 150 or more different people:

The winner will get a shiny, new SAPPHIRE BLADE!

and then:

2nd: Grand Cross

3rd: Steel Cross

4th and 5th: Star of Antei

6th to 10th: Dark Cross.

So, are you motivated to submit now ? We're one third there and remember - even if you don't have a chance at these top awards, you do have a chance of winning an event with even one submission - and don't forget that by sending a submission, you may be the one to push the number into the next level and thus get your Clanmate a really, really nice medal. They'll be grateful - and just think what the winner would do to you if we got stuck on 149 people or 1249 submissions total and you haven't sent a single entry.

Convinced now ? Thought so. Enjoy the games :)

Just out of interest, can you submit multiple entries for one event?

Good question because if thats the case i would submit that crossword puzzle about 12 times : )

I think he was referring to quotes and such... ;)

You would have to clear that with the individual event judge, however a submission is ultimately one person entering one event, regardless how much you enter for that event.

However, remember that 60 people times 20 events is also 1200, and the other 90 at one event each would easily push that over the 1250 mark :P
