That's right, I popped the question. It's about time too. Did a ton of running around during the week to get everything ready and the night went about as perfect as anything.

I spent the week spoiling my gf. Took her to dinners, bought her some new jewelry and make-up, went to a comedy club and a play, etc. Friday I told her we were going ring shopping, and I brought her to the place when I knew it would be closed (to throw her off). I acted all pissed that it was closed and then took her to a nice dinner. The next day she thought we were going to a benefit dinner for my Mom's work, but I was really taking her to my parent's country club to propose. I picked her up in a Limo that I said we were using to car pool with the other people (it was a high-class benefit dinner). She believed every lie I told and had no clue until she got there.

She immediately started to cry when we got into the room. I had set it up with pictures of us and flowers and plants and a pedistal that had her ring on it. She said yes. I had gotten her a 1 carat princess cut diamond on a platinum ring with .5 carats of side princess cut diamonds. She liked it :)

Anyway....I will step out of my normal box and show the pictures. I wasn't going to since I've gained some weight since that senior picture I uploaded from 4 years ago...but I don't give a damn.

As most of you know, our CoG, Halcyon has stepped down from the position after a long tenure of great work.

With his resignation it becomes time to enter into phase 2 of the society and guild changes that I announced some time ago. With this, the position of CoG will become equivalent to that of Combat Master and Baron. It will be a Quasi-DC position that is able to be held by someone who already has a position.

A new position has been created called Lord Marshal. This is a Main Body DC spot that will now be in charge of all Guilds, Societies and Multiplayer event Coordination.

CM, CoG, BAR, and all guild leaders will report directly to the LM. He will be in charge of communicating the status of the guilds and coordinating any training or competition events we may have. The Society leaders are still responsible for their own reports. This will also take Societies out from under their temporary place in the DGM office.

Applications are being accepted for both CoG and LM. Remember, for CoG, you do not have to leave your current position. Send all apps to Myself, FF and Mav.

After a lot of long hours by the SCL office, the site is now back up to about 99% of what it was. I'd like to thank CG and Jam3z for their diligent work in this process.

Also -- check out the new counter to the right. That's using PHP's GD to form the graphics. We'll be able to do some cool stuff with that for the new site.

I'd like to thank Numaril for his hard work as CSP Consul. He's done a fine job and I'm sure he'll be missed.

We've heard from Tron a few times recently. For those of you who don't know, Tron was repositioned in Iraq and has basically lost his connection. This is an unfortunate circumstance that keeps him from his EMS duties.

Tron has said he would step down for the time being, and until he returns to take back the spot, FF and I will be picking up the slack. No apps for EMS are needed.
