Greetings, all.

This is less a report, I suppose, than a half dose of bragging, combined with a half dose of proof that it can be done:

Since the initiation of the Great Jedi War two days ago, I have completed all of the individual writing assignments (fiction and poetry), initiated the Clan Run-on (of which you will ALL post to, at the very least once) and completed the graphics event.

Of the four writing assignments, I believe my poetry entry to be my strongest work thus far, but I suppose it will be the judges that decide whether it was strong enough.

Regardless, the point I hope I am making is that with a little effort, and an hour's concentration, you too can complete one of these events. Then lather, rinse, and repeat. In all that you do, I, as your Aedile and fellow Krath, expect nothing less than your best effort. But what I require, at the very least, is your effort.

While it is true that the entries need not all be "masterpieces" to count well for our Clan in the final standings, I challenge all of you to use these events, fairly easy, most of them, to challenge yourselves.

Have fun with it. Try to write something from an odd perspective, or in a different "voice". Be funny. Be strange. Use these events to enhance your skills, and explore your talents.

If you look upon the GJW as "homework," then I fear we are all quite doomed.
