Taldryan Consul Report 6-13-04

Well this week saw the end of Chapter 1 of the GJW, yay! So now we get a couple weeks of break, and then the next round will begin. I’m in a bit of a hurry today, so this intro-thingy is going to be short, in fact…its done.

The Fifth Great Jedi War

5th GJW - http://gjw.darkjedibrotherhood.com/ 1st round is over!

-To start with I’ll give you the details regarding judging results/chapter 2 beginning, as released in the DGMs report. The results of round one will be released soon after DGM Jac returns from the leave of absence he left for today (so in about a week).

-Chapter 2 of the GJW is scheduled to start on June 20th (that’s one week from today). So I suggest everyone take this week off from DB stuff, and get refreshed and motivated to start working on round 2 when it is released next week (especially because I have a new goal for Tal in round two…muahahaha!)

-Final Clan Submission count for round one:

Taldryan - 80 submissions + completed Run-on with 71 posts

Arcona - 79 submissions + completed Run-on with 75 posts

Tarentum - 55 submissions + completed Run-on with 50 posts

Satal Keto - 50 submissions + completed Run-on with 50 posts

Naga Sadow - 46 submissions + completed Run-on with 79 posts

Scholae Palatinae - 23 posts + completed Run-on with 54 posts

Exar Kun - 14 submissions + incomplete Run-on

This is slightly different than the long email I sent out yesterday, because I actually miscounted Arcona’s submissions, they only had 79…which means Taldryan had the most submissions for round one!! Now I want to remind you that these are just submission counts, nothing has been judged yet. After all the events for this round are judged we could find ourselves way ahead of everyone...or behind a few Clans. But if we can get 80 or more submissions for each round, I'm fairly sure we can win this GJW!!

-Now on to personal submission counts. Here is a list of how many events each member participated in:

Kir 9

Tiberius 7

Godo6

Nexusmage6

Dark Sabre6

Xuthen5

David5

Malevolence 5

Swiper 3

Sharad3

Duga 2

Fusion 2

Shups1

Shadow1

Shadow Warrior1

Quarmador 1

Thor 1

Now the last list is an important one. This lists each event and who submitted for it. These lists are how I keep track of activity for the GJW...and therefore how I reward for it! So make sure to check this list and see that I have you written down for all the events you submitted to! (Note: Clan Run-on participation is not included in the above list of personal submissions due to the fact that it is judged differently)

  • Overall for this round I'm very satisfied with Taldryan's participation (although I was hoping someone would beat me in submissions!). We had a lot of members step up and submit while at the same time some of our more active members had computer/schedule issues and couldn't get the time. So hopefully in the next few rounds everyone will be able to submit!

-And here it is, my GJW CHAPTER 2 GOAL: 100 submissions from Taldryan! That’s right, you read it correctly, for chapter two I want us to hit one hundred submissions. We had 80 this time, that’s so close! All we need to get one hundred is for everyone to do just one more event, or for some of those people who couldn’t participate in round one to step up in round two. This is an achievable goal, and it would definitely keep us ahead of the rest of the DB.

And...if we hit that 100 submissions mark for the second round...this Consul *will hand out some hefty rewards to those who help us do it!*

-That’s all the GJW for this report, if you have any questions about the War, feel free to email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses], or you can email your QUA!

Get out there and submit!!

Clan Taldryan News

-Also you might have noticed that Sharad was still around lately despite officially being on a leave of absence. Well don’t expect to see him around for quite awhile now, because his wedding date is fast approaching!

-Its time for me to nominate two new members to my personal honor guard, the “Cohors Praetoria Taldryae”. This week I’m working strait from the GJW submission list, so the two new members are…Tiberius and Godo! Sorry Dark Sabre and Nexusmage (who like Godo had 6 submissions) but Godo had his in earlier so he wins this time. Congrats to you both!

-Also, I’d like to welcome Warlord Frey Gallandro to Clan Taldryan! Frey would probably be considered an ‘oldie’ like Sharad & I by most of you, and he has transferred into Taldryan (Dinaari) to help our Sith out, especially with the GJW, so everybody welcome him!

-House Dinaari finally received its reward for winning the Obelisk Rite of Supremacy (I know, that was a LONG time ago). Here is the description of the reward:

The Rite of the Firmament

And far beyond the vale of night

The vastness of time separated

the light from the darkness

And the Ancient One spoke

With a voice like thunder

A sound to shatter mountains

"Let there be a firmament

erected between the house of day

and the house of night

So that the passing of each

Shall never mingle with the wards

of dawn and twilight."

Having spoken thus,

They were separated thus

And the Ancient One was pleased

-From the Kerijanh Fragments of the Song of Son'Jiatt

This Rite was first used by the Warriors of the Circled Dagger at the Siege of Monmora. High Master Jeraha, and his warriors of the Star Chamber, faced an onslaught of Jedi Masters the likes of which had not been encountered since the Battle of Deneba during the Great Sith War. Greatly outnumbered, Jeraha called upon the Darkness, and the allegiance of his circle of warriors. Ferran had vested in each the particular cunning of his own war-skills, and through this bond, Jeraha created the Rite, uniting the power of each participant so that all could tap deeper levels of the Dark Side through their mutual bonds of fraternity.

Krath scholars discovered the curious rite during excavations on Antei. When even the Oracle, Trevarus Caerick, was unable to decipher the requirements of the Ritual, the process was dictated to the Obelisk High Commander, who realized what it was. The Order of the Obelisk maintained enough of the traditions of the path of the Assassin, that he felt the cold resolve of Master Jeraha. High Commander Shaithis bestowed the secrets of this Art upon the Obelisk of House Dinaari of Clan Taldryan as a reward for their bravery and skill in the Obelisk Right of Supremecy.

Structure:

By reciting the following oath in perfect unison, all the assembled Jedi of the Obelisk Order will have a level of power equivalent to the highest ranking Obelisk in the group for the duration of their immediate conflict.

Perficere Ferro Anima constatum invictum

This ritual creates a singular consciousness within the Obelisk affected. Their personalities become fused into a communal mind, they have no free will. Instead, they are perfectly focused on the immediate danger until its conclusion, at which point the ritual immediately ceases effect

-All Clan Projects and Programs are on hold for the duration of the GJW.

-The Clan Taldryan JO server is still running and available, you can access it here:

DB News

-Remember all news posts on djb.com are “in character” for the duration of the GJW, so that is why they are a little different than usual.

-Some of you have been playing in the weekly Saturday Multiplayer event called the “Interclub Training Event”. Well starting last week, the ICTE has been replaced by “Celestial Fury”, which will become the new Saturday Multiplayer event. Celestial Fury is an interclub competition that will be taking place every Saturday in #outerrim from 2 pm EST to 11 pm EST. The competition revolves around attacking planets controlled by other clubs. If you are interested in signing up, talk to LCM Mav and check out the website here: http://fury.starwarsalliance.net. I played in it this week and it was pretty fun!

-To repeat an old (but important!) announcement… Arania has asked me to make an announcement about personal possessions. As she is currently compiling a list of them for approval and the like (in preparation for Rebirth), I would like to ask all members that have personal artifacts and poisons to submit a description of the item and any effects to Arania. However, this does NOT mean the item is automatically approved and is now "official," but submitting it to Arania is part of the process. So get to it! This includes custom weapons used in the ACC. This is important if you want any of your characters possessions to be recognized once Rebirth starts, so email Arania at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] with yours!

  • The Weekly Multiplayer Competitions are still going on regardless of the GJW. The dates and times can be found on the Clan Taldryan website in the competitions section.

-The Krath Monthly Topics (KMTs) for June are “Feral Sheep” and “The Force”, more details can be found in the KHPs weekly report. While these are good writing exercises that I like to see our members complete, I STRESS that GJW events should take precedence over these!
