Greetings, all.

It has been a very eventful week. With the stepping down of Strategos as Clan Proconsul, the inevitable leadership reshuffle has concluded: Cyris Oscura has been appointed Proconsul, and I have been elevated from Aedile to Quaestor. Arcturus Gadeskin Xyler is now my Aedile. The Tetrarch positions have also been filled: D’hak for Dark Orb, al’Lan Mandragoran for Prophecy, and the newly joined Dalthid for Loreseekers. Welcome, all.

For those of you unfamiliar with me, know that I am no stranger to this organization, or this House in particular. I became a member of this Clan before Arcona =was= a Clan, some 6 years ago. Arcona has always been my home, and Qel-Droma my bastion. I have served as Tetrarch on two occasions, and in the distant past ruled as Deputy Chancellor, and then Chancellor of the EH Senate for a total term of nearly a year.

Parallel to my duties here, I currently serve the Oracle as his Praetor, and the Herald as one of his Magistrates.

This marks a new era for House Qel-Droma. I have specific plans, and specific goals for what this House will become. Step by step, these changes will take place.

The first of these was announced to the Clan leadership the other day, and I will recreate it for you now:

House Qel-Droma Executive order #0001

As of today, any Jedi Hunter in House Qel-Droma who is deemed by any leader as worthy of elevation to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight must first submit either a story (2 pages minimum) or a poem (4 stanzas minimum) concerning the details of their creating, or attaining, their lightsaber.

This submission must be cc'd to both the Quaestor and Aedile for review before the promotion recommendation will be approved.

So ordered and submitted to the record.

Well, the very first Aedile report. As I said, I'm taking over the

competitions section from both Lan, Dalthid and D'Hak. Which leads me

to offer my sincerest congratulations to all three gentlemen, especially Dalthid - welcome aboard, mate. Good to have you on our side, for a change! :P Anyways, moving on...

-COMPETITIONS-

At the moment, there's the KMTs which can be found at djb.org - once

it's back online across the world. I hear that some countries can pick it up, others can't. For those who can't access djb.org, here's this month's KMTs:

A number of people in Qel-Droma have expressed an interest in Phyle

Monthly Topics and House Monthly Topics. At the moment, these are in the planning stages and will be re-introduced. However, we're going to wait until the Great Jedi War ends before we implement them. Our energies must be focused on defeating our enemies before we can challenge one another.

Oh, and another thing - I'm offering myself as ahem "target practice"

for anyone in Qel-Droma who wishes to sharpen their skills on the ACC.

Simply challenge me and we'll have a quick match. This is non-obligatory, but I highly reccommend for anyone who's a bit rusty in the ACC - rumour has it that the ACC is going to be used in the next Chapters of the Great Jedi War.

-PROJECT LEGACY-

D'Hak's wondeful little project is taking shape and is nearing

completion. Of course, it's an on-going project so it'll never really be finished, per se. Bits and pieces will be added as time goes. If you want to get involved, contact D'Hak and I'm sure he can give you something to do.

-THE ELITE PHALANX-

Uber-Sith Demosthenes is forming an 'Allegiance' team. If anyone has

Yay, another Thursday. I do karate Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights,

so its time to get in shape for some torture and beating up.

Normally I'd insert a Phyle Roster here. But, with the Brotherhood site

dead in the water, I have to go by memory. So here it goes:

....yeah. I'm not the smartest person first thing in the morning.

COFFEE COFFEE!

Not much Phyle news to report this week, apart from the whole I'm your

new Tetrarch thing. For those who don't know me, I tend to be very

hard-working when the mood takes me, and at the moment it certainly does. I've been here a long time, five years and a few weeks, and played through a few charaters too. D'hak is my original, then I killed him off and took Sebastian, the Light Jedi who killed him. I encountered some problems and switched to Nicholas Reubenscar, an EH

Intel guy. Now I'm back as a clone of the original. Weird, yes, but that just makes it suit me better :P

I currently have a Phyle competition running, interpret our motto (or

make a new one and interpret that). So far I have not received any entries! Come on guys, the Great Jedi War is about to pick up again (when the site returns :P). This is a fun little sidetrack competition you can do just to show that you are here.

Speaking of the Great Jedi War, Chapter 2 was meant to have started by

now. The powers that be, however, have decided that we deserve a slightly longer break, so find something to do. Krath Monthly topics are nice, if you can remember them. I can't so yeah - check the Aedile report.

On other fronts, my Clan History project is proceeding very well. I

have completed the lists of Clan Ships and Artifacts, and I am compiling a few old run-ons together with some help from an EHer. The next thing to do is sit down and make some kind of time line of the Clan. Everything should be ready to go online in a week or two - I've decided to do more of an iterative solution. Furthermore, I will be hosting it on my own corner of webspace until the Consul asks for it or it is completed. This just makes it easier to patch on as I go. Expect the first bits and pieces to be online during the weekend.

And here we go, my first report in a long, long time. :)

I'd like to thank our leaders for granting me the honor of being

appointed the new Tetrarch of Prophecy. I intend to take advantage of this welcome opportunity to its fullest... everyone knows I'm not a particularly sane person, well... you just watch. Bwahahahahaahahahah >:P

Anyways, on to business. ;)

-NEWS-

Not much going on in the Brotherhood, as everyone waits for the

mailing lists and the DB domain to be fixed, the last submissions of Chapter 1 to be graded and the beginning of Chapter 2. For the next few days, people should point their browsers to www.darkjedibrotherhood.ORG to access the site.

We had some major changes in the House and Clan leading body,

which I already covered in my introductory email. Cyris is our new ProConsul, Vassan our new Quaestor, Arcturus the new Aedile and Dhak the new TET of Dark Orb. Congratulations everyone! :)

and my old friend Strategos Thanatos Entar to the Phyle! It is a joy to have you both with us! :))

-PROMOTIONS/AWARDS-

No promotions or awards this week, as far as I know. Contact me if

I'd like to thank Kandos Katarn for his submission on Chapter 1 of

the Great Jedi War and Kraith Dakiel Xyler for taking part on the Run On. It was pretty much all the activity from Prophecy during the first Chapter, thank you guys for stepping up and making an effort!

-PHYLE ACTIVITY-

Just some general chat at the moment, in which topics such as

torture, blackmail, forbidden footages, conversation logs and flying pans are discussed... the usual stuff. :)

-GOALS/PLANS-

Like I promised you, most of our activities and competitions once the

Great Jedi War is over will be focused towards rebuilding our Phyle. This is because it's common knowledge among the summit that there's some serious lack of sense of identity going on, not just in a House level. It's really simple to notice it: what differs Dark Orb from Prophecy, besides their names? Are they both just names on a roster with some Tyros attached to them? What about the Clan, what does it mean to be an Arconan? These answers aren't easy to come by, because of this lack of identity. Project Legacy will take care of Clan and, I believe, House histories, but the Phyles need it just as badly. The promotion of this rebuilding effort inside Prophecy will be my main focus as Tetrarch.

Enough blah blah blah then. How are we going to do it?

First of all, we'll be doing it together. It'd be pretty easy for

me to just sit and do it all by myself, it'd be quick and shiny and mean nothing. It'll be far more interesting if we all take part in this, sharing ideas and bashing our brains against the keyboard together. Like I said, parts of the rebuild will be done as competitions, other parts won't. For the non-comp parts I'll create the PC (Prophets Circle), which is basically a discussion group made of those members of Prophecy who want to discuss (doh!) and give input to the more substabtial parts of the rebuild, such as writing our Phyle History;

New Phyle Motto: we'll have this changed, so it better reflects

the nature of our Phyle. It will be the subject of a Phyle Competition;

Phyle Mailing list: we'll have a list created. No, it doesn't mean

more spam in your inbox, it only means it's easier for me to send the spam to you, and easier for you to do it back; :P

New Phyle Website: I've already started designing a new website

for us. Here we'll put all the fancy stuff we create during the course of the rebuild;

The Big Three: these are the questions we'll be trying to answer

with the make-up. "Who are we? What do we do? How do we do it?"

These goals will be present on all my reports, and they'll have a part

dedicated to them in the website.

Once we have these accomplished, I trust we'll have a better understanding of our places in this organization, which will extend the fun the Brotherhood promotes to its fullest. :P

Regarding competitions, rest assured we'll do a lot more than just write some 2 page ficion over a random topic every month, but I'd rather leave you all in the dark for now... I won't spoil the surprise. :P

Greetings: "And now... the fake news..."

It should come as no shock that the Loreseekers Phyle has been re-opened. We've got one shot at this to make it something great!!!

I have been 'relocated' here to oversee that very project, a task that I have accepted humbly and with a clean slate. My name is Dalthid and I have been in the DB for almost two years. In that time I have been a TET, an AED and a PCON.

My leadership style is pretty straight forward, I won't blow sunshine up your butt (unless you deserve it) and I won't sugar coat anything if I can avoid it.

I believe that each of you (the members of this Phyle) are just as important as the next, but you will see the active ones getting what they want because I am a big fan of rewarding for effort. So, if you have goals here, waking up/being active would be a good idea.

My agenda is quite simple - activity. I will provide you, within the next week, with the opportunity to be active. This will come by way of communication and competitions - albeit at a fairly small scale. My one (of many possibly) request is that you don't 'blow off' my attempts to contact you. Please respond as quick as possible - even if its to say "shut the hell up and stop mailing me..." - though, I don't think I'd like that :)

I have made initial contact with no reply from anyone, however, I did get in touch with Neffalas this morning - we might have a winner there :)
