Greetings, all.

Apologies for the slightly delayed report, but my semi-LoA has kept me more than occupied. During this time I have also had the great honor of standing within inches of Lord Darth Vader’s own lightsaber. Details of this event I will withhold until a later time.

Chapter 2 of the Great Jedi War is over, with the only events remaining open being those ACC battles which had reached the first Deathpost by Friday. I am exceedingly proud to report that current submission standings from Clan Arcona for this Chapter number 100, 12 submissions higher than Chapter 1, and that’s not including all the as-of-yet un-judged ACC battles. Excellent work, all of you! Over the coming week, activity and achievements will be assessed by myself, Aedile Xyler, and your Tetrarchs. Promotions and other awards will be forthcoming.

Only the coming weeks will tell us whether we were successful in routing our enemies in this portion of the war. Arcona staged a climatic battle against the Tarentum stronghold maintaining control over the Shroud. Initial reports of the aftermath remain incomplete. Stay tuned to the main Brotherhood database for details as they are reported.

Regardless of the outcome of that battle, you should all take great pride in this impressive showing of Arconan might across the Brotherhood. May our destiny be glorious.

-WAR UPDATE-

OK, it's hitting deadline time - as of Friday, July 23rd, 23.59 EST,

the second chapter of the Fifth Great Jedi War will come to an end.

If you haven't already submitted outstanding poems, fiction pieces or

GFX, do it now. If you're in the middle of writing a novella fiction piece, your orders are to revise the piece and finish it quickly. Don't worry about your ACC matches - they're going to be graded 'as is' - in other words, you'll be graded on what posts you put in, not how many you put in. So focus yourselves on finishing the fiction pieces, poetry and GFX and sit back and wait for the results.

Our current position places us joint 1st with Taldryan so we're doing good. As I said in the last report, we're good for the moment since there's no way for us to get any better - the other Clans, however, can easily improve. Chances are they won't, but we have to keep the momentum up so stay strong and keep the submissions coming. Once this chapter's over, we can all chill out for a couple of weeks while the grading take places then head back to finish them off.

-ARCONA UPDATE-

Everyone's favorite (yeah...right) Sith, DJK Raidoner Tang'va just got

his first command - Pandragon Squadron. Hats off to him and hope he doesn't screw up. Also, the Monthly Topics are still currently in the

discussion stages and once the War blows over, we'll be getting them online again - therefore, sit tight and fight in the War.

Yay, I'm on time this week.

Over the weekend I took part in the third round of the National All

Styles martial arts tournament. It was a very entertaining day, though there were a few disappointing performances from several people whom I'll no doubt be dealing with later. I entered the Male Novice (10th kyu-6th kyu) Kata/Forms division, and came second! (of two people, but second!) I'm now qualified to go to sunny (mmm, sun, wherefore art thou sun?) Brisbane at the end of the year to compete for the national titles. My mother is going under for an operation soon as well, due to a few persistent health problems that have been steadily escalating for the past two years.

I won't be around as much as usual, but I'm still here if anyone needs me. I'm not about to be afflicted by the LoA trend that is infesting every level of Summit.

Keep working on your current ACC battles and fiction submissions for the GJW! The deadline is this Friday, and competition is close. Please note that no more ACC battles will be started, so focus on finishing your current ones. Make them count, my Tyros!

Mornin' folks...

It's Wednesday with three days to the end of Chapter 2 in the GJW.

Apart from the singular member who still, as of yet, has no idea what the Great Jedi War is (despite the gazillion mails that explained it), I have only heard from one other person recently.

Strangely enough, I don't have a problem with that, no one can force you guys to do anything. And, as I hope I made clear, I will not/cannot help you if you won't/can't help yourself - or at least try.

Anyway, as you can see, the QUA has been CC'd in this mail - pretty much to cover my own butt so he doesn't think I haven't been mailing the whole of the Phyle. Two mails will undoubtedly bounce back, as usual, while the rest will go uncommented or unanswered... again, makes no difference to me. I knew what I was getting when I came here.

So, if the light bulb goes off and all of a sudden you realize "ohhhhhh... I get it now..." then gimme a holla - if not, I am still fully aware of the two of you who are doing, at least, something.

Hasta... and remember: "you can't get very far in life without saying "is"..."

Not that great of a week… nothing particularly big and shiny happened. I wanted to strangle a few people for making me rewrite my Gather fiction, some others for not posting on our ACC matches as they should. I went to see Spider Man 2, veeery nice. Sure, it has some flaws since it’s Hollywood but hey… aside from Batman 1, it’s the best superhero movie I’ve seen. Hmmm… lemme think… yeah, X-Men 2 is pretty cool too… oh, bah. It’s cool so if you want to go out and like superheroes, it’s a good option.

I’ve been a little quiet lately, I apologize. I’m not spending much time at home, got loads of stuff to take care around here. And when I’m home I don’t have much idle time since I’m bashing my head against the keyboard to finish my GJW stuff… and there’s also Soul Reaver 2… so… =)

Also, I got terrible news for you. There’s no easy way to say this so I’ll be straight. I’ll finally be getting cable internet this week, which means you’ll all be seeing a lot more of me. I’m so sorry…

THE GREAT JEDI WAR MOVES ON! CHAPTER 2 IS UP! Until it’s done, nothing DBish else really matters! As it stands, we’re ALLIED with Taldryan, and AT WAR with everyone else. So if you see some shady character walking down the street and he doesn’t wear the Arconan or Taldryanite colors, you’re free to target him!

It’s very good compared to the first chapter, but we need more submissions! It isn’t hard to come up with something for the poem and the graphics, so I ask everyone to do them! If I can make a battle scene with stick figures and write a few verses, you can too. You’ll be helping your Clan look good, and you’ll look good yourselves in the eyes of the Clan and House summits, which means rewards! This is the LAST week!!

-GOALS/PLANS-

Rebuilding Prophecy so it has a meaning, an identity, will be my main focus as Tetrarch. How are we going to do it?

First of all, we'll be doing it together. It'd be pretty easy for me to just sit and do it all by myself, it'd be quick and shiny and mean nothing. It'll be far more interesting if we all take part in this, sharing ideas and bashing our brains against the keyboard together. Like I said, parts of the rebuild will be done as competitions, other parts won't. For the non-comp parts I'll create the PC (Prophets Circle), which is basically a discussion group made of those members of Prophecy who want to discuss (doh!) and give input to the more substabtial parts of the rebuild, such as writing our Phyle History;

New Phyle Motto: we'll have this changed, so it better reflects the nature of our Phyle. It will be the subject of a Phyle Competition;

Phyle Mailing list: up and running – [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. I’m pondering if we should keep this, individual mails has its advantages.

New Phyle Website: I’ll have to find a new place to host it since I quit my ISP. Don’t worry, it’ll be done shortly. =)

The Big Three: these are the questions we'll be trying to answer with the make-up. "Who are we? What do we do? How do we do it?"

Once we have these accomplished, I trust we'll have a better understanding of our places in this organization, which will extend the fun the Brotherhood promotes to its fullest. :P
