<li>SWL Demosthenes looked around at the infinite space abound in front of him as he neared the Victory Class Star Destoyer Dark Prothet in his m/a-9b. " Your are cleared for landing bay 3" a vioce hummed over the cockpit speaker.

Demosthenes climbed out of his cockpit and started stepping down the ladder when his long time friend Shups, a top Sith pilot from Taldryan ran up to him, " We're recieving a priority transmission from ... Jamez for you... he requests an update on the status of your clan?!"

<li>-GREATJEDI WAR-
Chapter II is now concluded at this time and we had an above par showing for chapter II. We didn't come out as strong as we did during chapter one but we're still leading in 2nd as far as participation submissions with our Allied Clan Taldryan in first. Tarentum is right behind clicking at our heels so.. we realy need to come out strong for Chapter III if we still plan on winning this thing. Even with Tally as our allies we don't know what is in store for us in Chapter III and we still need to make sure we have the most points as a clan. Actual point totals are still yet to be determined but we need to set of def. participation goals for chapter III. I just wanna say hats off to Strategos who played the SHIT out of Jedi Outcast this chapter. That's leading by example and that's what we like to see here in Clan Arcona. Our activity for this round can be found here:
http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/gjw_activity.asp?ID=8 . Also a special thanks to Vassan helping lead the run-on and all the summits stepping up and working together with Clan summits away.

<li>-ShadowPact Update-

There were concerns about the ShadowPact when Left Hand of Jusctice and Con of Tarentum threw accusations at Taldryan about the bombings of our hangars. The Shadow Pact at this point in time is still remaining strong until proof is brought forth as this can be seen as a last ditch effort from a clan that is scared of being destroyed. Arcona however is always in keeping with an open mind and has launched it's own investigations, but don't look for the ShadowPact to disolve but to remain strong.

<li>-House Organizations-

Oriens obscurum is going through some house re-organization and revitalization at the moment with the battle teams and placement. While the house has had decent participation during the GJW it's QUA/AED feels like it could add a lot more to the war effort. Good work to HOO but we want to see more.

I would appreciate if the Summits could all meet for another council meeting soon about organaztions for the proceeding chapters.

<li>-Congradulations-

Congradulations to DJK Raidoner on his first Battleteam command. Raidoner for a long time has been one of Arcona's most motivated members. It is time he get this chance to grow as a member of Arcona and while he will be carefuly watched I look forward to seeing his growth in command. GL and do us proud Raid.

<li>-Out with new in with Old-

Arcona has had many new transfers in and out of clan. I'd like to be the first to extend a warm welcome to all those incomming and feel free to contact us about any questions or comments you may have. I can be contacted on IRC as Demosthenes, by mail at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]
or by aim at xdemosthenesx.

Also I extend a sad goodbye to memebrs Lexy and Darkfinn. We will await your return home.

<li>-PCON Resignation-

Our pcon Cyris has decided to resign as he has become busy in real life. Cyris has been a well standing member of the Arconan community and will be missed. Thank you Cyris for the support you have given us while you were here.

<li>-CON BACK!-

Welcome back to our very own Jamez from his leave of absense. Now we have our CON back w00t!

<li>-SHW looking for help with the new Sith Site and holocron-

Serpentis.org
Posted by DA Xanos Zorrixor Serpenti-Sadow - 7/26/2004 [7:45:00 AM]

Those of you who attended the meeting this weekend will know that I have registered a new site for the Sith Order at www.serpentis.org.

The goal is to have the Sith website hosted there so that it is easily accessible- as in you'll be able to remember the url- and to have somewhere to store the Sith Holocron for easy access and updating.

More importantly, it gives us somewhere to start uploading and storing battles and missions so that we can finally make use of the Battle Compendium. Hopefully that will be up and running by the time you need it at the end of the Great Jedi War.

Right now though I am in urgent need of someone fluent in the art of web design. The site supports ASP so naturally if anyone is willing to help code up a few basic functions then that would be a god send. What we really need though is someone to convert the Sith Holocron over from a Word document to a flashy manual.

You can be one person, or multiple people, meaning if you have any of the skills we need and have some free time please contact me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] as soon as you can.

Many thanks,

~ The Sith Council

<li>-ACC GJW-

The Judges are working hard to grade all the ACC matches for the GJW so I ask ya'll to have patients with them, also Jac in his last report pointed something out about vendettas and the ACC which I will post.

I know there's been a lot of discussion about the ACC and the GJW. I hope everything is clear now regarding that.

I have already informed Alaric and McKenna that we need to work on the Vendetta Guide for the ACC. This will also span over into other areas. After the GJW and the lessons I've learned, we are going to be building a lot of common functionality into the Database for Rebirth and We will be working on creating a Vendetta Guide that presents planning rules and guidlines for people in the future.

One note though -- Just because it's used normally doesn't mean that it's cannon all over. I didn't even use the ACC vendetta guide for the GJW, hence my surprise when people started quoting from it. That is a Guide, not a requirement set. The Rules of Engagement are the true rules.

<li>-DBPA Update-

The DB PA is going strong and well and has just initiated it's first guild war. Currently the DBPA is split up into 3 sub guilds. The DB ( crafters and new players) the DB-SF ( the Strike Fleet which is our main flying fleet force we've been getting ready for Jump to light speed) and the DB-CG ( Crimson Guard... the shock troops and ground forces of the DB for Player vs. Player)

<li>-Grand Master Royal Gaurd-

Finalization of the rescrurization of the Guard has commenced and will be implimited at the end of the GJW. All members have been placed in thier units and circles. Rules and regulations have been written. I am looking into creating GMRG awards for Guard members during thier work on the GMRG and also starting to initaite a template on plans for a joint project with the GMRG and the Shadow Academy to start a DB Multiplayer Academy for all DB MP platforms which will be Ran by Professors in the GMRG for all DB members to join and graduate courses from.

<li>-ARCONA ACTIVITY-

Well, fellow Arconans. Once again we find ourselves in the possition to win another GJW. We're almost half way through this war and we're currrently in 2nd. 2nd is not winning and I would maaaybe be ok with second had I known we have done our best to secure that second. Well... we haven't even done 80% what we're capable of. I would like to see those of you who are able to participate do so. I've seen people on irc who haven't been marked off in the particpation columns and I've seen those who do participate make up for those who haven't by going super hyper active... fact of the matter is we need something from everyone if we're going to win this one. EVERYONE. so... if it takes you 1 hour of your life next chapter to write a fictional story... do it. IF it takes you 5 min. to draw some stick figures in paint.. do it. If you're a decent multi-player we have team based events comming up next chapter so we'll need all the MPers to wake up ... I know there are more then Strat raid and myself. I'm counting on each and everyone of you to do your part. Arcona has the most talent of any of the other clans. If we could remain consistant through the remainer of the GJW this can be easily... and I mean easily catpured. Of course easy doesn't mean it won't take work... easy means we have the ability to win if we put our 100% into it. So lets do this and get'er done.

Top Secret

<table border="0" width="95%"> <tr><td colspan="2">Background

There comes a time in every Jedi’s life when they are specifically selected for a mission, above all others, because of their history or certain qualities that they possess.

Some time ago, you were selected for just such a mission. The mission was Top Secret. You were to tell no-one about it. A cover story was concocted to explain your absence, and you were briefed and debriefed by an intermediary. You have never discovered who gave you your orders, or why you were asked to do what you did.

Now, the Krath High Priestess has called you to her office and has requested a full explanation of events. It is clear that she knows all about your mission, but it is not clear how or why she knows. You have no choice but to give her a full account.

The competition specifics

This is an Epic competition. We’re expecting entries of 10+ pages. You should include your debrief with the KHP and you should give a full account of the background of your mission (although your character may never discover part or all of this...).

Your entry should include answers to the following questions:

-What was the mission?
-Why were you selected for it?
-Who ordered it?
-Why was it kept quiet?
-Why is the KHP asking you about it now?

Skills of a Warrior

<table border="0" width="95%">

<tr><td colspan="2">I was standing in the middle of the deactivated battle hall, my Royal Guard trainer in front of me, scowling at me. N'Shadd, a Twi-Lek halfcast, always had this air about him, seemingly full of disapproval no matter what you did to try to please him - or yourself. I had no idea where my usual trainer was today, but I sure hoped the training session would be over already. Little did I know that this would be the day my training in the GMRG would change completely.

"So you think you got better?" he finally addressed me. "You think you are finally worth to be in the Guard?"

I didn't reply, knowing full well he was mainly talking to hear himself talk.

"Well, we'll see about that," he continued. "But I have no doubts that you will fail. We'll first check what you have learned until now." He must have given a mental command, for the hall flickered to life with the familiar holographic images of Bespin Streets, which had been one of our main training areas. As usual, N'Shadd was out of my sight, as the hall positioned us in different places. My saber came to life immediately, knowing very well that the man would not spare me a bit of trouble and would enjoy destroying me totally. I had heard the stories of him killing people 20 times over before he allowed them out of the halls.

Today, I had more luck. I even managed to kill him a few times, and in the end he won only by one kill. But instead of leaving it at that, another familiar scenario flickered into existence. The arena we'd dubbed Battleground Jedi. I was actually much more familiar with this one, although I had not fought much here lately. This was probably the reason why he did not finish me off completely in this place, either. But he did not give up. Intent on proving my inadequacy, he called up a scenario known as Tower of the Jedi, then another one set inside the destroyed Death Star and yet another one on board of a Star Destroyer. The latter two I had been to before, but I was not so used to them, so he won by a bigger score.

I was completely drained when we were finally done. I had fought multiple sessions before, but I had never had to change scenarios so quickly. I noticed N'Shadd staring at me thoughtfully. "Just what I feared," he said, deep in thoughts. "Much promise, but it has been allowed to stay dormant too long. Your skill is limited to a few scenarios, and the less you know them, the worse your battle. But be aware that, in the real life out there, when you fight for us, for yourself, the scenario will be new in the majorities of cases. Due to this, from now on, you will fight several different scenarios a week. From duel to team fights - everything will be new to you. This way you will learn a lot faster and your skill will bring more honor to the Brotherhood."

Objective - The Brotherhood and the GMRG specifically need to be skilled in all styles of saber fight and ready and able to battle in all possible scenarios. Until now, the variation in training has been lacking, but this will now change.

Each week, there will be 3 or 4 featured custom maps in JK, JO and JA, at least one duel and one FFA map among those. CTF and Team FFA will be encouraged as well.

For each win, you will get a CF as in all approved competitions. You will need to send a screenshot of the game though so you can prove that you have played on one of the required maps. This does not need to be a shot of the results, but both players will have to send one.

For each game, winning or losing, you will get points awarded. A game is 10,6,4,3,2,1 points for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc game on a map. A new set of maps is uploaded every week, but you can still play the same set of maps for two weeks. This is to acocunt for download difficulties and other issues. Also, those with slow connections may get a cd of all the maps if they are willing to play for shipping and handling, from Arania

Points will not be kept seperate for the different platforms, even if this might give a slight advantage to those having more than one of the games. For the people really needing more maps to chose from for their platforms, there will be bonus maps that only count if there have been at least 3 games for all the other maps.

Note that in case you are on a slow connection and the featured map is big, aka you won't be able to DL it, you will be allowed to play the bonus level instead, but this has to be noted before you play. Your opponent can claim bonus points for such games even if he has not finished playing the other levels before.

Every 500 games, the score resets and the top 3 in points get crescents. This is both to encourage play and to give newbies in the training a better chance. Thx to Kaiann for suggesting this.

Results with screenshots (PLEASE ZIP THEM) need to go to the CoG and Arania. Arania will keep the SoaW site updated.

Dalthid got awarded a Star of Antei on 7/25/2004 (<small>_Since his arrival to Clan Arcona, and House Qel-Droma, Dalthid has had an acknowledged "uphill battle" in his role as Loreseekers Tetrarch. And despite the overall absence of his team during Chapter 2 of the GJW, I know it was not from a lack of his efforts to whip his people into shape.

Couple that with his timely Phyle Reports, overall communication, and his participation in this Chapter, I feel a Star of Antei is more than deserved. - QUA Vassan Rokir_</small>)

D'hak got awarded a Star of Antei on 7/25/2004 (<small>_Both D'hak's individual efforts in Chapter 2 of the GJW, combined with the more than 50% participation rate of his Dark Orb Tyros, and his timely Phyle reports and overall communication, equates to me his having earned recognition for these efforts, and these successes.

I thereby bequeath to him a Star of Antei. - QUA Vassan Rokir_</small>)

al'Lan Mandragoran got awarded a Steel Cross on 7/25/2004 (<small>_Ever since joining my staff, Lan has become one of the pillars of House Qel-Droma. In his role as Tetrarch he has submitted timely and thorough reports, kept in contact with all his Tyros and maintained a positive attitude throughout. Combine that with a GJW Chapter 2 Prophecy participation from 7 of its 9 members, AND lifting the team from a total of 7 submissions in Chapter 1 to 51 in Chapter 2 (ok, Strat did 31 of those by himself, but 20 ain't too shabby either), Lan should therefore be honored.

Thus, I award al'Lan Mandragoran a Steel Cross._</small>)

Arcturus Gadeskin Xyler got awarded a Dark Cross on 7/25/2004 (<small>Since becoming my Aedile, Arcturus has done much over the last couple of months to fulfill his role. He keeps in regular contact, maintains a timely report schedule, and did his best to oversee Loreseekers during Dalthid's recent absence. For all this, coupled with his participation in the Great Jedi War Chapter 2, I award him a Dark Cross. - QUA Vassan Rokir</small>)
