Taldryan Consul Report 9-19-04 Report # 71

Alright well this week was dominated by Chapter 4 of the GJW. I actually am fairly behind in my reading for some of my classes because I became obsessed with beating Lenzar for 1st place in JO, which I did accomplish…202 matches and peak nerdness later. I could go on about Chapter 4, but I’ll save it for the GJW section, so here we go…

-Well chapter 4 ended on Friday night, and I have to say I am VERY impressed with Taldryan’s participation. We had 980 total submissions (counting individual MP matches) and that’s incredible!! I sent out an email the other day with the participation lists and some statistics, so for this report I thought I would include comparisons to the other Clans participation for this Chapter…

-As you can see, with the exception of Tarentum we absolutely blew the competition away! And also when you take a closer look at Tarentum’s MP matches vs. Taldryan’s…we won most of the events! The scores for Chapter 3 should be out very soon and Taldryan should have done very well there, and we just did amazing in Chapter 4, so I think we’ve got a good chance of winning this GJW, way to go everyone!!

-Apparently though Chapter 4 is not the end of the GJW, I have heard there will be several more events after Chapter 4 including more single-player missions. These should be very quick and just act as a filler while they do the final judging. So let’s kick ass in those extra missions and put this GJW solidly in the win column!

Clan Taldryan News

-Clan news for this week is WAY TO KICK ASS IN CHAPTER 4!!!

-Also, I’ve been asked by the CM to look through all Taldryan members’ character sheets for the ACC, to check that they meet current regulations. So you might be getting an email from me in the next two weeks asking you to change some things. These are the things I’ll be looking for (this is directly from the CM):

*Height/Weight needs to be in Metric

*Cortosis ANYTHING. If they have Cortosis, and wish to keep it, they need to e-mail me. *But make sure you let them know the probability of my saying yes to it is very slim (and non-existent for those below DJK).

*Non-Star Wars species. If you are unsure as to whether it is a star wars species, you can check out the list of races in the ACC Compendium. If the race is from another source (Star Trek, LotR, WoT, etc), it has to be changed. If it is a 100% original race, they will need to e-mail me with a description of: general appearances of the race, where they come from, the kind of society they have, etc). Note: Vampires, Demons, etc not allowed.

*Echani - There are only a handful of people I have approved for its use, so if they say that I've approved them (or refuse to change it)...well, we'll get to that below.

*Form VII for anyone below Dark Adept

*Lightsabers below DJK

*Force Lightning (and other force powers) as a species trait

*Weapons resistant to lightsabers, etc.

*Anything else you see that seems suspicious or over-powered.

If you think any of these things can be found in your character sheet…change them before I find them!

-The Clan and House summits are already brainstorming/working on competitions and other fun stuff for after the GJW, so be ready for that!

-All Clan Projects and Programs are on hold for the duration of the GJW.

-The new SHW has been announced, and it is none other than Tarentum Consul Sith Bloodfyre aka Gui Long!! He will be acting both as Consul and SHW until the GJW ends, after which Tarentum will get a new Consul.

-The “Star Wars Gaming News” website is up and has lots of cool information about upcoming Star Wars games! You can check it out here: http://www.swgn.org/
