[ State of the Order> So, where to begin.

I've heard back from pretty much all of the Clans about the current state of their Sith members, and yeah, things could be better, but they will be. I've said it before, I don't think the Sith are dead, just dormant. The Order needs a reason to wake up, and I think we have it; or, part of it, anyways. Battlefront was released, and I have to be honest, I really like this game. Yes, there are some things that could be fixed, but on the whole, I think it's a great chance to do some gaming, and to relive the experience of some of the galactic conflicts that we all love to watch.

I'm also in the process of working with a new staff member on another option of gaming and activity for the Sith; I'm not announcing who my new magistrate is just yet, but let's just say he's nominally going to be the resident tactician for my staff, and has a lot of great ideas on possibilities. I think the Order is going to benefit greatly from a creative mind such as his. I'm also in the process of working with an excellent group of people who will be helping the DB get its own dedicated server. These individuals will be named, if they're cool with me recognizing their efforts, but their monetary contributions will be more than valuable. The server we're looking at will have the ability to host pretty much any server-based games, which will mean Battlefront, JO, JA, and possibly others, depending on the demand; we're looking to see if the company will upload Allegiance, so that we might have the option of our own Allegiance server, too.

As far as being a Sith, you don't have to join the Order to play Battlefront, nor do you have to join any particular Order to play any particular game; Order Platforms have been nullified, and we ask that you keep that in mind. Sith members are more than welcome to play the JK games, Krath are more than welcome to fly, Obelisk can write, anyone can play Battlefront, etc. I'd really like to see no more transfer requests from any Order, for the reasons of "moving to play whatever game." More information will be provided as to what the purpose of the Orders is shifting to, in time. For now, just realize, they're more like a state of mind, and a state of being. If you're an Obelisk, that's where you should be. If you feel like your character would belong to the Krath, or Sith, please, we invite you to join what Order suits your background.

The Sith Order recognizes...> This section is going to be where I recognize people for their activity, contributions to the Order, or any other instance where I feel people are deserving of acknowledgement. At this point, I'd like to thank Rekio Corsair. Rekio is now working under the third SHW he's been Praetor to, and he has a dedication to the Order unmatched by pretty much anyone. He has served faithfully without thought of reward, and has gone unnoticed for quite some time. Rekio, the Sith Order salutes you, and we'll be giving you an all-expenses paid vacation to the destination of your choice, provided you bring along an escort (and I hear Oberst volunteering already). :P But seriously, your contributions, and dedication are seen, and greatly appreciated, Rek.

Obviously, some part of the site, and compendium, will require Rebirth for database changes, but hopefully, we'll have a one-stop-shopping location for everything you need related to the Sith Order, and generally being awesome.

Sith in Fiction> After the GJW, I'm going to be working with Alanna on adding in some Sith flavor to the KMTs. I might talk with her about adding in a third event, and seeing how it goes, that would focus specifically on some aspect of being Sith, the history of the Sith, or even just how the other Orders interact with the Sith. Also, I'd like to develop something along the lines of the ITODs, which have been used by the RS successfully, and could be something great to add to the Order. Do you suddenly have to learn how to write novels? Nope. I'd be crazy to even suggest it. But writing is one way to help dive more fully into the fiction, and I think a lot of people would enjoy it, if they gave it a chance.

Competitions> Guess what? The ICTE is tomorrow (Saturday), and for the first time ever, Battlefront will also be supported. This is a great opportunity to get out and game, and we'd really love to see you all out there. Also, I'm going to be talking to Shai and Demos about the possibility of mixing up competitions. In all honesty, I don't like seeing the same old comps, with the same old signup bots, and I think everyone would be more likely to compete in events that were composed of variety. if anyone has any desires about specific things you'd like to see, feel free to get a hold of us. You can always email me at
[Log in to view e-mail addresses]. I think between the lot of us, and our staff members, we'll be able to come up with some variety, and give you all something to get excited about again.

Personally, I think it'll be interesting, because I think we'll have some success at keeping it up-to-date, as well as possibly making it all better. Updates should be mailed to
[Log in to view e-mail addresses] so that we can get up the changes and such as quickly as possible.

Conclusion> This one's been a long one, but I promise, I hate writing long reports. This typically only happens when I get moments of inspiration. I've been SHW now for about a week, and I've had a lot of people come forward wanting to help, and wanting to get active again. I think the whole Order is waiting, much like that. Personally, I have some competitions I'd like to run, I have some ideas for stuff I'd like to give out, and I'd like you all to know that it'll be worth it to come out of the lull, and really kick some ass again. I'll make you all one promise: I won't quit on you, if you won't quit on me. All I ask is for you to give me a bit of effort, and I'll show you it's worth it to want to put in more. I'll see you guys at the ICTE.

This is Legion,
I think things are a little dead around here too. But who am i to talk, all i'm doing is studying up on everything i can about the DB, and that takes alot of time. It would be nice to see things pick up pace though. I'd like to read these novels talked about in this report, they sound fun.
