[ State of the Order> There continues to be a stable presence among the Sith, but I continue to see transfer requests that mention not having the games (although, these kinds of requests have declined dramatically, which is excellent). As another reminder to all Sith, as well as Obelisk and Krath, you do NOT need any particular game, or ability, to be a part of any of the three Orders. If you want to establish yourself as a Krath lightsaber artist, be a Krath, and play one of the JK games; it's perfectly alright to do so. As the Orders change, new reasons come about for being. And at this time, the Orders are to help establish a certain presence, and personality for you. There are suggested platforms, and manners of activity for each Order, but by no means does that mean you have to have Battlefront, or X-Wing Alliance to be a Sith.

I recently added Warmaster Syn Kaek to my staff, and I think he'll be a fine addition. Syn and I have discussed a few possibilities for additions to not only the Sith Order, but the Brotherhood as a whole. We'll be looking to hash these things out in better detail, and see how feasible they are, but we're looking to help all of you get better practice with some of the games, and some of the skills surrounding those games, and editing them. Demosthenes has also had some ideas that mimick my own about helping people improve, and he and I will be working on a project together in that regards.

I've asked Donitz to help me by working on a wargame, and he's had some interesting prospects, and believes that the wargame he has adapted will be an interesting addition to the Brotherhood. The adaptation is nearly complete, and when it is finalized, we'll be turning it in to Jac for his approval, so that we can start preparing to run it. I'd also like to mention that you should all look into brushing up on your strategy. In Goat's last Sith War, he introduced an event involving a Battleplan. While some enjoyed this, others did not, I think that this kind of activity should be encouraged, and used to its fullest potential. Donitz and I will be looking to implement these kinds of activities, and events in other competitions, so it'll help all of you to have some basic knowledge in planning, strategy, tactics, etc. You don't even have to look over historical information. Got a crazy idea in your head to win a battle? Write it down, and work it over, maybe it'll help you create new kinds of tactics, that could be helpful in these upcoming kinds of events.

The Sith Order recognizes...> It wouldn't be appropriate if we didn't recognize a single figure this day. During the reign of Thedek, a courageous Sith was risen to the position of Sith HIgh Warrior. This man was one of the longest standing High Warriors, and was truly successful in his initiatives, and in helping the Sith Order remain strong. He worked through the reign of Thedek, and watched on as Zoraan took control. This man worked through the reign of Chi-Long, and then ascended the Throne when the call to power sought him out. Firefox has been nothing if not an historical leader of this Brotherhood, and he has been someone I have had a great time working with. Though his time to sit from the Throne is gone, his time to shine is not. I believe Firefox will continue to stay on to help guide this Brotherhood from the halls of the Star Chamber, and I thank him, and honor him this day, for all of his efforts, and years of hard work. Firefox, on this day, the Order you so faithfully led recognizes you as one of her champions, and thanks you for everything you have done.

Sith Site/Battle Compendium> Syn and I are working over some battle/campaign storylines. I also know that DA Pyralis has been working on two of his own campaigns, and I think they're pretty amazing. A week or so ago, he let me test out one of them (XWA campaign), and even though I'm not the best pilot, I still had a fun time with them. For those who can edit missions, you don't have to wait around for me to commission you. If you want to make battles, or campaigns, go right ahead, and when they're completed, and sent to me, I'll reward you for your hard work.

Sith in Fiction> I hope the Sith are getting active in fiction. I still have my challenge to the Order to kick some Krath butt in Lannie's KMTs (yes, I know, she dropped the K). For sake of reference, I will offer the same incentives to Krath and Obelisk to get into other events that I put out, as well as incentives for Sith and Krath to get into events that Shai puts out. At this time, however, the incentive is this: the Krath dominate Lannie's KMTs. I think, however, that we have just as many talented writers who are either Sith, or Obelisk. Submit to the KMTs, and if you place in the top three, you'll get a DC (in addition to the 2nd-level Crescents Lannie awards). If we make a sweep of the top three places, with Sith and Obelisk of any combination taking 1st, 2nd and 3rd, then I'll bump it up, and award those people Stars of Antei. Not a bad way to earn some medals, right?

Competitions> In addition to my challenge to get active in the KMTs, there are also changes to the other competitions. Gaming Nights have been temporarily cancelled this week, so that we might reorganize them, and make them more interesting, and more worthwhile for people to compete in. We've had several good ideas, and I'm going to be making a special announcement tomorrow about how they'll change, and when they'll be starting up (i.e. what day next week, etc.). I hope you all like these changes, but after a couple weeks, you will all be given a poll, wherein you can tell us how you'd prefer the Gaming Nights to be run. But before that, make sure to give it a chance, and see how it really works out.

Also, if you haven't yet noticed, I put up a fun comp on the Sith order message board. The idea? Just to make me (and others) laugh. Kir has put up some pretty humorous one-liners, and there's some funny graphics up there. Crescents are up for grabs on this one, so make sure to submit an entry, or at least go check out what's been put up on the topic. You can find it at:
http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/message_board/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2501.

Miscellaneous> The Great Jedi War is finally over, after a long, hard-fought series of events. Don't let this entice you to slack off, though. Let's make sure to take a break, and enjoy the slight lull, but we still do have a lot to do, and a lot to offer. The ICTE happens every week, on Saturdays, at 4PM EST. Mav offers rewards for people getting out there, and it's a good opportunity for people who don't have a whole lot of time during the week to get some gaming in, and find new people to get to know. Also, just by way of information, I have had several ideas of possibilities for an upcoming Sith War, but nothing is concrete yet. I'm trying to come up with a few storylines, but also ideas for events, and things to do in order to participate, and earn points (even without playing games). This won't come for a while, since we just ended the GJW, and the next major competition in planning is Lannie's Krath War, but look for a Sith War sometime next Spring, or thereabouts.

Conclusion> In conclusion, I'd like to thank Firefox again. I think he's done a great service to the Brotherhood, which we may never truly be able to comprehend to its fullest.

I'd also like to thank Tarentum, and express how much fun I had leading the Clan. The conditions of becoming SHW were that I would be allowed to lead my Clan through to the end of the GJW, but would then have to give it up to another. I've always had a great time being a part of Tarentum, and I don't think there's anything that can really top being Consul of that Clan. Every Consul feels a great amount of dedication, and enjoyment from their Clan, but I can truly say, there's nowhere else I'd rather have been, and no other Clan that is as much home to me as Tarentum. You'll likely hear an announcement regarding the succession of Consul soon, Tarentum, but always know that you're home, and you're where I'll always want to be.

And now I focus my efforts fully to the Sith Order. I'd like to hope that, together, we can accomplish some great things. This is an amazing time to be in the Brotherhood, when we're on the eve of so many things coming to fruition. We've all seen the screenshots of the Rebirth site, and we've all heard, to one extent or another, some of the things that'll be happening on that site. This is a time like no other in the Brotherhood, when you'll be able to earn awards, promotions, additional ships and fighters for your Clans, and any number of possibilities can be opened up to you. If you've gone inactive, come back. If you haven't started down your path towards ascencion, get on the road. Be active, be a part of the Brotherhood, and be successful. As always, anyone who needs help can contact me at
[Log in to view e-mail addresses], and I'll do what I can to help you be successful, be you Sith, Obelisk, or Krath. Even as much as I would hope the Sith order would stand and shine, I want to see every Order thrive, and I'll do what I can to help you accomplish that. Carpe Diem, members of the Sith Order. Tomorrow is ours; let us reach out and take it with force.
