1. It's Halloween next week and, for the dark jedi, that means you get to go Trick or Treating around the DC!
   

Which costume will you choose to frighten a battle-hardened GM or JST? And what trick or treat do you think you'll be given for your efforts?

This is supposed to be a short competition - you don't need to write a whole ream of fiction, but you must answer both questions. Entries to Dark Sabre: [Log in to view e-mail addresses] by 31st October.

1. The return of the character development comps! These are relatively short fiction competitions which help you to develop the background to your DB characters. We ran a series last year, and they were very popular with newbies. Entries were often only a page or two, so they won't take up too much of your time.
   

"My first fight"

How old were you when you fought for the first time, and with who. Did it have any influance on you, or perhaps it has changed your life in some way?

Write a story, not longer than 3 pages. Submit to Tiss: [[Log in to view e-mail addresses]] by 6th November.

Write a poem about yourself! Minimum length: 15 lines.

• We have a new MML which we plan to start next week.
  

This will be like the traditional MML - where each house that joins in will write a murder mystery, and these will then get passed around for the other houses to solve. This will be a purely voluntary competition - only for those houses who want to join in. If you have a large clan competition going on at the moment, we won't be offended if you don't take part ;o)
