Its been a pretty normal time this week, lots of competitions for people to participate in and stuff like that. Also I want to make note that today is November 1st, and therefore my birthday is in six days (Nov 7). Its my 21st birthday so dont be surprised if my Consul report is a little late next week. Alright, report time!

-The new issue of the Dark Voice will be released very soon and it will contain the final GJW standings (epilogue and overall), as well as Clan and personal awards given out by Jac. All of those awards will be granted immediately after the DVs release.

-So the final end of the GJW is in sight, I expect everything to be out by the end of this week!

-Ok, the Tell Kir a Joke Quick & Easy competition has come to an end! After reading through all the entries, here are the winners:

-If you read the news on djb.com then chances are youve probably read something about the new Multiplayer nights. The basics are that there are now 3 MP nights a week, a 1v1 night on Tuesdays, a Team night on Thursdays, and the ICTE on Saturdays (for specific times/places, see Competitions on the Taldryan site). Every other week there will be a Tournament held on Sundays as well, to qualify for these tournaments you have to play at least 1 match in a MP night during 2 weeks beforehand.

Now THIS IS IMPORTANT, you get points for wins in these biweekly tournaments. These points can be used to buy possessions. You can either 1) Keep the points to yourself, or 2) Donate them to the Clan. All of Taldryans leaders (CON, PCON, QUAs, AEDs) have agreed to automatically give any points they earn to the Clan. It is up to the rest of you to choose what to dobut I would recommend giving them to the Clan. This is because we can buy much cooler stuff with our combined pointsand the Clan can loan out things it buys to members. So if you donate to the Clan you will get to use really cool stuffinstead of the less cool personal items. So play at least once in the MP nights, and then play in the biweekly Sunday Tournaments to get Taldryan cool stuff!

-Both Dinaari and Ektrosis start their first post-GJW House competitions today, so everyone get busy participating with your House-mates! My Quick & Easy CON competitions will end for awhile now since youve all got other stuff to do. After these House comps are over look for a couple Clan competitions!

-The Tal Times is coming along very nicely now. All writers remember your articles/columns are due to me by this Wednesday, November 3rd. The rest of you look for a release sometime in mid-November. After that we will release a new issue every other month. From what Ive read/seen so far it looks like it is going to be REALLY funny, so I suggest everyone read it!

We still need member submissions! Send in anything youve got (that is yours, dont send in other peoples work) from the below list. Well pick the stuff we like and include it in the Times! So send in any of the following things by November 3rd:

-House Dinaari is currently running an AWOL check, so be sure to respond if you want to stay in the House!

-Remember to check the Competitions section of the Taldryan website (www.taldryan.org) for a list of currently running competitions. I try to keep it updated on a regular basis, so it should be the first place you check if you need something to work on!

DB News

-The MAA would like anyone who is going to run a competition to request the competition and get it approved BEFORE you announce it to the group who is going to participate. That way they can make sure all running competitions are approved.

-The KHP is running a Murder Mystery Competition right now, check the news page for more details.

-The MAA is running a new competition, Design the SoI! Basically just design what the Scroll of Indoctrination medal would look like, and send the graphic submission to the MAA by Nov 22.

-The JST is running a new competition as well, which is to design a new coat of arms or other symbol for the Chamber of Justice. You have until Nov 11th to send submissions for this to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]!

Tuesday 1v1 Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held all day Tuesday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Tuesdays are "solo" nights; meaning only 1 vs. 1 games will be played. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.

Thursday Team Night

Multiplayer gaming night that will be all day Thursday in #gmrg. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Thursdays are "team" nights, meaning matches can only be played with at least teams of 2 vs. 2. Signup bots will not be used; you have to find matches by chatting in #gmrg or messaging people on IRC. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses. In addition anyone who has 5 wins will get a Dark Cross, and anyone with 15 wins will get a Star of Antei.

Interclub Training Event

Multiplayer gaming night that will be held every Saturday evening in #outerrim. All DB-supported platforms will be used. Players come from DB and allied online gaming groups. Signup bots will be used, so use the !signup command on IRC to get matches in #outerrim. Clusters of Fire will be awarded as usual, 1 for each win or three losses.

Biweekly Sunday Tournament

Those people who participate in at least one match in the above listed weekly multiplayer competitions will be invited to play every other week in a Tournament on Sunday. There isnt any specific structure, you just play as many matches as you would like and the person with the most wins during the day wins the Tournament. Everyone gets points for wins that they can use to buy personal possessions or donate to the Clan so that Taldryan can buy Clan possessions.]
