Obelisk Sergeant Report

<bow>

Greetings members of Battleteam Night Raptors,

1) Sergeant Introduction

2) Goals

3) Competitions

4) Training

5) Roster

It is an honor for me to have this opportunity to serve the battleteam

and the house as the new SGT of the Night Raptors. As most of you

know I am a newer member of the DB and am still learning the ins and outs of how everything operates. However, I feel that my "youthful vigor" can be an asset, and I hope that it will help us grow this battleteam into a tight group and great competitors.

With that being said I have a few goals that I would like to set out

to you all so that you know where we are headed and can judge how we are doing along the way.

Short-range goals (2-3 months)

1) All members of the Night Raptors competing in at least one (1) of

the three weekly multi-player competitions hosted by the DB. Those

would be the Tuesday and Thursday Gaming Nights and the ICTE on

Saturday.

2) Organize a training schedule with all other members of the house

and clan who wish to traing with each other and get better. The only

way that we are going to be able to make a better showing in comps

within the DB is to increase our skill and love of playing MP games.

This will help us achieve that.

3) Have one formal competition with another Obbie battleteam from

another clan. This will probably be in the later stages of the three

month period, but depending on the activity it may come sooner. We'll just have to wait and see.

Medium-range goals (4-6 months)

1) Have all members of the battleteam participating in the Sunday

tourney as a result of being active in the weekly comps. This will

bring individual awards as well as points for the clan, so I think it

is important.

2) Have regular competitions with battleteams outside of the clan.

This will allow us to assess how we are improving as a team and could also bring rewards and possessions to the team.

3) Have at least nine (9) active members in the team.

4) Have all members pass the "Test of Endurance" and "Obelisk Core Test" in the Shadow Academy.

Long-range goals (beyond 6 months)

1) Have a full team of twelve members who are active in the MP gaming scene within the DB.

2) Have members consistantly place in the top of all DB-wide MP comps, thus making the Night Raptors the best battleteam in the Brotherhood.

3) Work towards having all members of the team also be members of the GMRG. I know that some of you might not have great feelings about the GMRG right now, but hopefully that will change over time as changes are made to the Guard.

Competitions

Tuesday Gaming Night - Actually, it's all day, so meet up in #gmrg or

somewhere else on IRC and challenge many many people to whatever games you like to play. Emphasis is on 1v1 on Tuesday.

Thursday Gaming Night - Just like Tuesday, but the emphasis is on team MP this time. However, 1v1 is still allowed.

ICTE - Hosted in #outerrim, this is a great way to meet members from other online clubs and see how you stack up against them.

Sunday Tournament - A bi-weekly tourney that is open to anyone who participated in any of the other weekly comps during that two week period. A great way to earn points to buy personal possessions.

Training

I will be sending out another email asking you all to tell me what

time zones and times you are able to get on a train with other members of the team, house and clan. This will allow me to find people who are good at playing all of the MP games and then setup a training schedule. More to come on this, so look out for another email in you inbox.

I hope that this first report has been helpful and gives you guys some direction for the future. I look forward to serving with all of you and can't wait to make the Night Raptors one of the best battleteams in the DB. See you on IRC or email.
