Proconsul Report

Jonaleth stood looking out over the icey wastes of Byfrost, the glass of the window all that stood between him and a cold as chilling as the depths of space. His tall, black robed form was outlined in shilouette against the brilliant white of snow beyond, but became lost as one looked higher, to the eternally black sky and its myriad stars.

Hands clasped behind his back, angular, predatory face impassive, the Proconsul looked towards the distant sun and the planets that held the people of Clan Exar Kun, and began to dictate his report for this past week into the computer at his desk...

Its the holiday season, and I hope everyone has enjoyed themselves as per their respective beliefs or lack thereof, and I hope everyone had a nice time for News Years Eve - I certainly did. A sincere Happy New Year to you all!

Things have been predictably sedate in the Clan lately, which is to be expected, however there have been some impressive movements everywhere.

Clan News

As a Clan, we now have X access in the IRC room, #clanexarkun. The op list has already been set up and will be honoured - only those listed or given special permission by myself or Khalin at the time are to be opped now.

KP Mune Metsukai Isradia is currently functioning as Clan Envoy, and thus is responsible for inducting new members into our midst and showing them where to go and what to do to get their start in the Brotherhood. Further to this and to enable him to recieve emails about new members joining the Clan, he has had to occupy the positions of Rollmaster in both House Ziost and Byss. Until confirmed by the Quaestors that they actually wish him in that roll, this is just a technicality, and once the Envoy system is set up so that they recieve emails by default, he will be removed as appropriate.

Regarding recruitment, I wish to say that whilst its very nice to have a huge Clan to look after, Id rather have a small, active and skilled Clan than a large, flabby inactive one! Recruit all you want, by all means, but dont make it the only goal - you're all here to have fun, and thats first priority. A smaller amount of active people have more fun and get more from things than a larger group with only a few members. Concentrate on being active first, then recruiting second.

Proconsul News

I have several projects under my belt for the entire Clan, and I plan to give you a peak at them now.

1) Clan Campaign; "Scions of Kun" - The Great Master is dead, the greatest Sith Lord of them all, vanquished by the Jedi students of Luke Skywalker; this indignity cannot stand. Yet, before his final death, Kun blessed us. His Heirs live on in his Clan, and his plan lives on in them. Soon, the Scions of Kun shall reach out their hands, and the galaxy will again know the terror of the Dark Side...

2) Clan Tome - With me as Proconsul, I will now finally tidy up and cannonise everything that has been written about the Clan since its inception, and compile it into one bible document for all members reference, and hopefully, into a website also. This document will include Clan Powers (once confirmed by the DC), IC History, OOC History, Heirs, Ships, Artefacts, Bases and Systems and more.

3) Project Nemesis - With the dust settling on the Great Jedi War, with the infections banished and the Brotherhood strong once again, new opportunities have awakened for the Children of Kun - and these opportunities will only make us stronger...

House Byss

House Byss has its Quaestor on leave at present, however its Aedile, Cipher, is performing amicably in her new role. Vithril informs me of the many plans he has coming up for the newly Multi-Order house, and I look forward to some exciting development from the House of Spies for 2005.

House Ziost

The stars of recent times, House Ziost under the able leadership of Talon and Aticus has been revamped and reborn, taking in new members, instituting new programs and ideas, recruiting, promoting and awarding like crazy. Extremely impressive stuff, all round! Im very pleased to say things are going forwards for Ziost, and Im excited to see what comes next!

Summary

All in all, a very good holiday season, with a lot to be proud of from everyone! Keep up the good year, and lets hit the ground running for 2005 so everyone can see what we're made of!
