<> State of the Order> I'm going to do a brief rundown of the things involving the Order, as well as those things that involve my personal attention.

As far as people go, we have a growing number of active Sith, ranging from normal gaming activities, to Star Wars Galaxies, the ACC, and more. Where once the Sith may have been a dying breed, I think I can honestly say, we have life in us after all. I didn't figure this Order would keep its head underground for too long. We have some new members who are working towards making their marks on this Order, and the Brotherhood, and I congratulate them for that. Keep up the good work, and you'll both be recognized, and rewarded.

As far as gaming goes, we've had some slow periods since around New Years, but it's started picking back up again today. We've had a couple of good matches so far, including a pretty fun guns match between myself, Duga, Zacfer and Mav. Mav looked to be a little rusty, with Duga and Zac catching up, but Mav pulled it out for a win with 20 kills, followed closely by Zac and Duga, with me bringing up the rear with 7 kills (yeah, that last one didn't technically count, but I killed Mav after he won just because). Anyways, as Yacks can attest, I'm lethal to my own team, and I can pop off a few people when they're not looking. Heh, just kidding. But Yacks can still attest to a beautiful headshot in battlefront. ;)

As you all have probably seen, Jac and I took some time to go over an idea I had for the Guard, and as such, the newly dubbed "Royal Guard" has been restructured. It's not just going to be run like another separate House (which was basically how it had been organized), and instead, is going to focus on smaller cells, and utilize the DC to help keep them active, and worthwhile. More info on that will be released by Jac, but if you're interested in serving a particular DC member, read up on the proposal, and get in touch with that Council member. More news as we get it.

There's several of us who want to get back into playing Battlefront as a cooperative team. We've talked about it on the new message boards, and at this point, it looks to be that Yacks, Shadow, Kaine, Arania, Telona, myself, Halcyon, Jasru and Nitemare are up for getting back into Battlefront. I know that more of you have the game, and we'd like to start getting some sort of regular schedule going for skirmishes, and just having some fun as teams, and friends. If you'd like to be a part of that, drop a message on the RG Battlefront Thread, and we'll get working on a good time schedule for all of us. Battlefront is a pretty decent game, and there's some mod options already available. Some of the mods include tweaking the characters (giving the Dark Trooper an E-11 rifle, or better pack recharge), or even removing the flight boundaries on some of the maps. We'll also be talking about those mods, and which ones, if any, we might like to use.

<> The Sith Order recognizes...> I'd like to recognize the work of my staff here, for a minute. Rekio has been working on trying to collect information for a few mission campaign storylines, notably information regarding the "Other" (Crona) Incident, as well as the break away of Clan Ar'Kell (later renamed the Society of Shadows). Donitz has been trying to utilize a former Wargame he was involved in, to create and adapt something for the Brotherhood use, in addition to trying to sort through my mess of ideas, and see what might work for us, as well. Kaek has always been someone who likes to bounce ideas with me, and likes to make sure progress is made within our projects, and the Order as a whole. The three of these men are putting forth a great effort for everyones' benefot, and I'd like to express my appreciation, and recognition for their hard efforts.

<> Sith in Fiction> The Sith Lords Reborn. You've heard me mention it, now is your time to get into it. I extended the deadline to accomodate for the Krath Rite of Supremacy, so until the end of February, you have the opportunity to write about any Sith Lord before Marka Ragnos. Come up with your own Dark Lord of the Sith, or if you want, even one of his other subordinate Sith Lords. Detail him (or her!), their personality, appearance, etc. Submit pictures as well, if you like. Winning submissions will be used to flesh out the history of the Dark Lords of the Sith, and if yours is good, it'll be used. This is part in parcel of my Sith History project, which will eventually make up a section in the DSC, and also form one of the new cores of Sith teachings. Yep, it's going to be remade into a Sith CORE test. I'm not happy with how focused the current Sith exams are on starfighters, and piloting. The Sith Order is so mmuch more than that, and we're going to adapt everything to ensure that we're emphasizing what we are, not what we were forced to be. Stay tuned, and more info will be provided. Also, as a heads up, I will eventually need people to help with writing, and rewriting, Sith exams and such, and anyone who wants a reward will be welcome to help, when that time comes.

<> Competitions> The Krath Rite of Supremacy! For more info on that, you better be reading Lannie's reports. Also, as usual, every Tuesday and Thursday are the weekly Gaming Events. Some erroneous information has circulated regarding the Gaming Events: Tuesday is encouraged to be 1vs1, with Thursday encouraged to be team games. You can play however you like, though I would like to see people mixing themselves up. Have a little variety. Play guns matches, play team matches. This world isn't just for sabers and no force. Try something new, and have but. However, we don't have an SP and an MP night; there's really no point to having a Gaming Event specifically for playing single player missions. So if you've heard that, it's a misunderstanding somewhere.

Also, the ICTE is every Saturday in #outerrim, and if you've played in the two weeks since the last Tournament, that means you qualify for the upcoming Tournament. Today is the Sunday Tournament, so if you get in some matches these next two weeks at one of the events, you'll qualify for the next Tournament. Pretty simple, no?

<> Miscellaneous> The SuperBowl is today, if you happen to watch American Football. If you're in the area of Spears' barbecue, watch your fingers, he might bite one of them off. Heh. In other news, there was also the release of a new award, the Amethyst Kukri. It's a pretty cool looking blade, and now stands among the jeweled weapons/awards of the Brotherhood. The first two recipients are none other than Headmaster Spears Tarentae, and Herald Kaine Mandaala! I'd like to offer my congratulations to the two of them. They do indeed deserve those, and I can't think of anyone else who makes a good primary awardee for the new honor.

<> Conclusion> Stuff happening, comps all around. I hope you read the Dark Voice, and Jac's weekly report. You'll notice there is also a pretty cool looking new flagship being crafted for the Brotherhood by our own Headmaster, Spears. I think it's pretty decent. This is a good time to be in the Brotherhood, and it's a good time to be active in the DB, and make yourself known. Opportunities continue to be presented for everyone to earn something for themselves, and to make something for themselves. If you can't see anything for you to do, let us know. Feel free to get in touch with your Summits, or drop me an email. I'm always happy to talk to the members about what we ought to be doing. Have a good week, all, and let's really rock this place.
