Brothers in Darkness,
Well, my first report as CON! I've only been in office for a couple of days now, but we've had some fairly large changes, so I figured I would make my report for this week today.
Well, with my appointment as CON, I required the services of a PCON. For that, I have chosen Priest Esca. He is active and eager, and pretty much exactly what I need in a "right hand man". He will be instrumental in my plans for CEK, and I look forward to working with him.
Since Esca had recently been appointed QUA of Byss, I was in need of a leader for that house. Please congratulate Epis Laethan, who I have selected to fill that role. I've heard good things about Epis Laethan, and I also look forward to working with him.
As is expected when new leadership takes over, sometimes those already in place have other ideas for the future of the clan that do not match those of the new summit. Unfortunately, sometimes these things end in personality clashes. Such an event has occured with Aticus, who was acting as QUA of Ziost in Talon's absence. He chose to resign over this issue and so I have selected Jedi Hunter Sunflash to act as QUA for House Ziost until Talon returns. Thank you for helping the clan out with your time, Sunflash!
There may be a few more position shifts in the coming weeks, but I think we pretty much have a stable summit now.
On the competition front, there is the Krath RoS (Open to all orders!) going on right now, and CEK has a VERY good chance of pulling off 3rd in the competition if we make a good showing now. Considering what people were saying about us and our abilities, 3rd would be VERY respectable and I would likely do a happy dance. Wanna see your CON dance stupidly? Take part in the RoS! There is also the bi-weekly tournament. You must be invited to this (ooooh! exclusive!), but the way to get invited is to play in one of the weekly events in the two week period (Tues/Thurs all day in #gmrg on IRC - more on IRC below). IRC IRC IRC. For those unfamiliar with the acronym, IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. It is a real-time chat that is used by the Dark Brotherhood. It is likely the BEST way to communicate with your clan members AND the Dark Brotherhood as a whole. If you want to get noticed, or make friends, IRC is the place to do this. Potential leaders of clans and houses (and even the Dark Council) are chosen from those who are on IRC, as they are the most accessible and easiest to work with. People who come on IRC get involved with their clanmates more and the feeling of community is increased. It's also the best place to hook up with other gamers if you're looking for a game of JO or XWA! That being said, work is not the only thing we do on IRC. At any given time we're talking about any number of subjects, not limited to Star Wars.
