Welcome to my second report as Quaestor of House Oriens Obscurum. I should’ve made one last week but what can I say? Midterms. Anyways, with that out of the way and the Krath Rite of Supremacy over, we can continue.  

Announcements

The KRoS is over. We finished 5th. We can do better than that especially considering the showing we had in the third part. If we had made the same showing in the first two parts, we might have placed 4th or 3rd! Still, I will not deny to you that I thought the events were none too exciting or interesting. Hopefully in the future, we will have more interesting things to partake in.

We have a new Master At Arms, Overlord Khan Kunar. Additionally, I was appointed Praetor to the Master At Arms. Together, we will be UNSTOPPABLE! Bwahaha! Ok sorry.

Clan and House Affairs

I have tasked Quejo with introducing new members to the ways of the Brotherhood. If you’re a new member and you haven’t talked to me, Quejo better have done so or he’ll be in trouble (hehe). He will help anyone below the rank of Jedi Hunter in advancement.

This doesn’t mean that I won’t help you either! Feel free to ask me questions. I must warn you though that I am very busy. I may take a bit but I will assuredly answer questions and take suggestions. The best way to propose changes, competitions or make complaints is through a well crafted email to myself and Quejo. Things you say on IRC I may or may not remember. But email I will deal with as I receive it.

Concerning Clan competitions – your Consul has informed me that there will be some new ones in the very near future. Not to be outdone by Lan, I’ve decided that I will be starting a few small House ones in the next days – maybe even tonight. So work with me. On another note, if you have ideas for competitions, send them to me! I want to do whatever you guys want to do.

ALSO – I AM NOT AVERSE TO RUNNING COMPETITIONS ON NON-SW PLATFORMS. Yes, you read that correctly. If you guys want to play another game in a competition and we can get enough people to do it, we’ll do it. How can we do this? Simple! I’m the P:MAA so I can approve all competitions. Haha. Of course, it would be unfair of me to cheat the system like that so I will seek the approval of the DGM – but I highly doubt Mav cares. So if you have ideas for ANYTHING – NO RESTRICTIONS – come tell me.

On a side note, I became an apprentice to Lord Chi Long this week which means that my official name is now Xu Long. Besides the fact that my fictional entity will be changing a bit and I’ll go by that on IRC and in my ID Line, feel free to address me as Kaek. Most people are doing that since that is who I am and who I have been for the last 6 years!

Member Recognition

Ahh my favorite part of reports: Lobbing praise at my members.

To begin with, I must commend Sith Warrior Raidoner. He is truly dedicated to the House and to the Clan. He consistently reports and does quite a bit of work for his battleteam. The ideas he submits to me are original and show a sincere desire for improvement. Raid, I’m glad to have you in this House and I hope you enjoy the new Star of Antei!

Next on my list is Guardian Kalidan. Wow what can I say? Activity activity activity! Kalidan, your contributions are appreciated though I wish I talked to you more than I do now. Quejo has been particularly vocal in your support. And for that, I have awarded you a Dark Cross.

Special props to our newest member, Gaius. He has already advanced to Acolyte and will probably be a Protector before long. He has only been here for a few days and has already been on IRC and demonstrated a desire to make our House better. Continue the great work and I have no doubt in my mind that you will be amazingly successful.

Lastly, I would like to commend Quejo, Kalidan and Sykes (from Qel-Droma) for helping out with recruiting and mentoring. You guys are doing a wonderful job. As soon as I see Spears, I will be recommending you all for Scrolls of Indoctrination. Thank you.
