Gladius Quaestor Report 3/3/05

Hi there everyone.

I would like to start off this report by thanking Rekio, Telona and Anshar for having the faith in me to hand leadership of this fine house to me, thanks guys. Secondly I would on behalf of everyone like to thank Anshar for the last year. While I myself have only been in Gladius for a few months I have been amazed by the dedication he has shown to the house, barely a week went by without an email from him with suggestions as to House events or other stuff we could incorporate into the house. I wish you on behalf of everyone a good future in the Brotherhood and if you bring only half of your dedication you have shown in Gladius to bear on future projects then they will be well off indeed.

You may have noticed that since my taking on the position of QUA that the AED spot is open. I will probably be opening this position to the Brotherhood as a whole for applicants however I hope that I get a few applications from Gladius as I would love to give the post to home-grown talent! : )

Another important matter is something I will be bringing in to the House starting next Monday, the Gladius House Champion. This project has been in the pipeline for a few months now and as soon as I upgrade the spreadsheet we’ll be raring to go. For those of you new to the house this project will be a quasi-competition ran in House Gladius. For every medal or promotion you receive you gain points and the person with the most points at the end of the month will be crowned the Champion of House Gladius with all the bragging rights associated : ) This will also be handy in allowing me to keep track of everyone’s activty over the month and make it easier for me to hand out promotions or other awards for worthy participants over time.

The House Competition is also in development however I won’t set a definete date for this as were still trying to hammer out a storyline for it. I would love it if you could get back to me on what kind of events you would like to see in the comp be it ACC ladders, XWA/JA/JO MP or perhaps even single player missions. Any input you could give me would be greatly appreciated as after all it is for you we do all these comps therefore we want to ensure that they contain stuff you actually want to do.

On to the congratulations, the KROS is over and whilst Tarentum didn’t fare very well we did have some good participation from House Gladius and this is evident by the medals Rekio handed out today:

Nual Fark’icjat

Windos

Frosty

Anshar

Welshman

So good work to those of you who got the medals for the KROS and I know if we carry on like this, always bettering ourselves we can become one of the best houses in the Brotherhood.

Also special recognition to Theorem Elohim Arcanis for doing so well with the Shadow Academy courses.

I would also like to take this chance to welcome all the new people to House Gladius, may you find your time amongst us both productive and pleasurable. There is no lack of things for you to do in the Brotherhood, there are regular gaming nights on throughout the week, Tuesday Gaming on IRC in #GMRG, Thursday Gaming on IRC in #GMRG and the Interclub Training Event (ICTE) on IRC in #outerrim

So if you got the games and capabilities to play you should be able to find some games in there. For those of you who cant MP there is always the Antei Combat Centre (ACC). This is a place where two members can fight each other in the DB universe in the form of posts (like a message board or forum.) Its good fun and helps you develop your character and if ever you need a game don’t hesitate to challenge me, I’m usually never too busy that I won’t accept your challenges (unless exams come a calling :( ).

I think that’s all I have for this week, sorry for the long report but I just had to outline some stuff to you guys what were doing here in the leadership. So if you have any questions, queries or comments don’t hesitate to email me, our Rollmaster Frosty or our House envoy Windos, we’ll be happy to help.

Thanks for reading.
