Quaestor Report #2, 03-15-2005

As you might have guessed, this is my second report as Quaestor of Qel-Droma. I haven’t written a report for some time, but that’s basically because there was hardly anything going on. Now, however, there’s a whole lot going on. There’s been an influx of new members today, and I hope that’s going to mean an influx of new activity as well. Yes, Qel-Droma is making a comeback.

News:

-KHP Alanna is resigning in a month, and the DC is accepting applications for KHP until Wednesday, 23:59 EST

-MAA Khan is on indefinite leave, Kaek is acting MAA

-The Dark Voice is being compiled, deadline for the next edition is April 9th, 15:00 EST

-And, by far the most important news (:P), the position of Qel-Droma Aedile is open for applications until March 21st. More info can be found on the DB news page.

Transfers:

-The last couple of days have been good for Qel-Droma indeed, as we were able to welcome (back) four people!

-My old friend and former Aedile of Qel-Droma, KAP Paladorion Teranioklon Entar!

-My other old friend, and former Combat Master, KAP Timeros Caesus Entar!

-A veteran Arconan, who has finally returned to us after an extended holiday in Clan Exar Kun, KE Laethan Ciarus!

-And the only truly new member Qel-Droma has been able to welcome, DJK Kali Desdemona! I do hope you’ll enjoy your stay here. :)

-Sadly, we also had to say goodbye to two members: OE Koskian “Psyko” d’Tana transferred to the Rogues, due do real life constraints, and SW Sykes Rokir Jade transferred to House Oriens Obscurum. But he’s still in Arcona, so it’s not all that bad. :P

Promotions:

-Only two promotions in the past few weeks, but both of them by a member that shows much promise and will hopefully get far in the DB: Keno was promoted from Apprentice to Novice, and later on from Novice to Acolyte. Congratulations, ACO Keno!

Medals:

-Quite a few of them in the past weeks, mostly for activity in the recent Krath Rite of Supremacy. Here they are:

-JH Shadow Stalker received a Dark Cross for participation in the Krath RoS

-GRD Kor’val received a Dark Cross for participation in the Krath RoS

-KE Alex d’Tana received a Dark Cross for participation in the Krath RoS

-SW Sykes Rokir Jade received a Dark Cross for participation in the Krath RoS

-Yours Truly received a Dark Cross for participation in the Krath RoS

-KP Ktulu Revolier Xyler received a Star of Antei for his high participation in the Krath RoS

-DJK Kandos Katarn received a Steel Cross for his outstanding level of participation in the Krath RoS

-Oh, and I received eight Clusters of Fire as well. On that note, people in Qel-Droma who have any SW games really should game more. Arcona’s participation in MP events has been rather low lately.

-And, of course, very big congrats to anyone who received a medal. You’ve all more than earned it. :)

Competitions:

-The Krath Monthly Topics are, of course, the best way to show our skills as writers. This month’s Topics are “Morning has Broken” for poetry (but poetry in a rather special form… check the competition description) and “A Jedi’s Journey” for fiction. -Our beloved Consul, Lan, has not one, not two, but THREE Clan-wide monthly competitions in store for us! The Arcona Multiplayer Challenge, the Arcona Monthly Fiction Topic (Clan Fiction Topic for March - Perseverance: write about an occasion in which everything seemed doomed for your character, but despite all odds and the certainty of failure he refused to surrender and achieved success in the end. Times New Roman 12 or similar, single space, one page minimum) and the Arcona Monthly Graphics Topic (The graphics topic for March is "Horror". Draw a picture of something your character would consider horrifying. A person, a creature, an event, anything). -Related to the AMC… participate as much as you can in gaming events! I know not all of you have SW games, but if you do, take the time to participate in the ICTE (each Saturday), the gaming days on Tuesday and Thursday, and the Sunday Tournament (once every two weeks, you can qualify for it by playing any MP games in the time between two Sunday Tournaments). They don’t only get you Clusters of Fire, but possibly Crescents and other medals, too!

-The ACC’s Championship Ladder is on… good luck to anyone who’s participating. If you’re not, do try to join the second Ladder, or the next one. There will be four of them, each one starting as soon as the previous one has finished. So there’s plenty of chances. :P

-On that note… why not challenge a fellow Qel-Droman to an ACC fight? It’s one of the best ways for us Krath to show activity, and it’s fun, too.

Closing Statements:

It’s been an exciting week, with lots of new and returning members. As I said before, I hope it’ll also mean a rise in activity, and I for one will do everything I can to make being active fun – and very rewarding. On that note, I might come up with a House competition very shortly. That’s about it… oh, and apply for Qel-Droma Aedile! You know you want it. :P
