Clan Exar Kun Report for April 12, 2005

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

It is now the anniversary of what has been known as "The Split". The Dark Brotherhood has done very well for itself in the time since we severed ties with the Emperor's Hammer organization and it is soon time to celebrate that! Keep your eyes open for some celebration activities coming your way soon!

Also, it was during the time of "The Split" that Clan Exar Kun came into existance, born from the ashes of the old clan Alvaak. I am very, very proud of what we have become today due to the hard work of a lot of very dedicated people.

PROCONSUL RESIGNS

After some thought on the matter and some discussion with myself, Esca has decided to step down as Proconsul of Clan Exar Kun due to real life time constraints and a desire to help out his clan in a slightly different way. He has decided to go to Ziost, to bolster their Krath numbers and give whatever aid he can to QUA Numaril and AED Sunflash.

While I am sad to lose a Proconsul, I am very pleased he has decided to help out Clan Exar Kun! My thanks for the work you did as Proconsul, Esca!

NEW PROCONSUL APPOINTED

I did not need much time to think about who I would ask to take up reins as Proconsul. There was a member of our clan who has shown himself an admirable competition designer/organizer as well as someone able to deal with being in contact with all the members of his house almost constantly. That man was Dark Jedi Knight Braecen. Congratulations, Braecen! I'm certain you'll keep up the fantastic work you've been doing thusfar!

This does leave the position of AED of Byss open. Cipher will be dealing with that, so I would speak to her if you are interested in the position.

NEW CLAN ENVOY SELECTED

With Clan Exar Kun now developing a sturdy base of dedicated members, I feel comfortable handing the duties of Clan Envoy over to another member of our Clan. This member has been serving as Byss' Envoy for some time now and I have been very pleased with his work. I have thusly decided to appoint Lucien our Clan Envoy! He is responsible for welcoming new members to the Clan and introducing them to their houses. He will be the first contact people joining the DB who come into CEK will have and it is a large responsibility I feel very comfortable giving to him.

NEW HOUSE ENVOY SELECTED

With Lucien becoming Clan Envoy, Byss' was in need of a new Envoy that would help the members get introduced to Masters, get on IRC, and introduce them and act as impromptu Masters for members needing answers to questions about the DB. For this task Cipher and myself have selected the recently returned to us Desdemonea! Congratulations on your appointment!

WEBSITE ONLINE

As announced earlier, the clan's web site is now online at www.clanexarkun.net. You can read the latest CEK news there (In fact, I posted the info about Braecen's position appointment there before announcing it anywhere else!), read the Path of Kun, and read the reports (if for some reason you prefer to read them in a web browser over the email I send ;) ). There will be more member's only functionality in the near future.

QUAESTOR AWARDED

I have awarded Cipher with a Steel Cross for her work thusfar as Quaestor of House Byss. I would have included it with the last batch of medals I did (RE: The Medal Rampage!), but was waiting on a piece of artwork from her. Congratulations, Cipher! You do us proud!
