COMPETITION WINNERS

The CEK Banner competition I was hosting has ended, and I was pleased by the number and quality of the submissions I received. Two entries stood out. I've posted them both on www.clanexarkun.net, but the one I have selected for the header for the web site was created by PRT Virulence! Congrats to him on his Amethyst Crescent!

Also please congratulate SW Godo Nurok on his Sapphire (second place) Crescent!

ZIOST CHANGEUP

Well... it seems real life is taking its terrible toll on our members. Sunflash has had to resign as AED due to time restrictions from real life. Thanks to him for his hard work in the summit of Ziost... both as AED and as acting QUA.

Replacing him as AED is Ziost's own SW Godo Nurok! I'm sure you're all familiar with him, so make sure you say congratulations when you see him!

Also changing in Ziost was the Envoy. Drax also had to step down, and after a detailed search we have asked KP Esca if he would take the reins as CCE for the House. I am pleased to announce that he accepted.

INDEPENDENCE GAMES

Well.. I'm sure you've seen mention of this all over! The Independence Games are here again, and this is a wonderful opportunity for CEK to show the rest of the DB just how far we've come!

As an added bonus, the Rebel Squadrons will be joining us in this competition, so we'll actually get to stomp some rebels!

SPECIAL MENTION

I'd like to make a special mention of our Proconsul today. DJK Braecen has shown himself to be one of CEK's most active and contributing members. Recently, in addition to his regular work (which goes far and above his assigned duties) he has contacted hundreds of Rogue members of the DB personally and has invited them to join our clan. I am very pleased to see that several members have taken him up on his offer! Welcome to CEK, everyone! If there's anything you'd like to suggest or even just talk about, drop me a line here or on IRC.

For his outstanding work, I have awarded Braecen a Grand Cross of the Dark Side. Congratulations!

IRC

I've seen a LOT of our members on IRC lately, and this makes me very happy. IRC is where friendships are born in the DB, as it permits real-time communication between members of the DB. CEK itself now has a fairly large IRC community now, and I invite the rest of you to join us on the Undernet network.

If you come on during the morning hours (9-12ish) for most North American people, you might find it a little slow on #exarkun. The channel picks up in the afternoon and early evening. There is almost always someone around, though. I'm usually there, but I might be working... so if you don't get a response in the channel, send a private message to me (Chi-Long). This will get my attention.
