Clan Exar Kun Report for May 11, 2005

Greetings Sons and Daughters of Kun!

CONGRATULATIONS!

I'd like to say congratulations to our very own Proconsul Braecen for his recent promotion to Krath Priest! The promotion from DJK to Priest is often overlooked, but it is a difficult one to obtain!

The member has finished his introduction to the Dark Brotherhood with the rank of Dark Jedi Knight, and needs to find a niche or duty in the Brotherhood. Somewhere he belongs.

Never before have I seen a member with such dedication and enthusiasm. Braecen is a constant source of ideas, activity, and guidance. Without him, CEK would not even be a shadow of what it is now. It has been an honor to work with you, Braecen! Congratulations on Priest!

If you see Braecen around, let him know we all appreciate him!

GAMES

The Independence Games are right around the corner (starting May 19!) If you haven't signed up yet, please do at: http://www.independencegames.net/

If you don't sign up, you cannot participate! Let's make a good inter-club showing and kick both the RS' AND the rest of the DB's asses!

If you play JK/JO/JA/XWA/XvsT/etc, there is always the ICTE (Intner-Club Training Event).

CLAN POWERS

I've spoken with Bloodfyre finally, and we are now beginning on recreating CEK's clan powers. "WHAT? We had Clan powers???" many of you are saying now, I imagine. We did not have any approved powers (at least none that weren't just a ripoff of Vampire: The Masquerade" type stuff), but there were a couple of different documents floating around. We now want to have us a set of "approved" powers that can be used in the ACC, etc, only for CEK members. Braecen and myself are currently coming up with the foundation for the new powers, and will be bringing in the summit, once we've fleshed out some of the basics.

More on this as it develops.

IRC

IRC stands for "Internet Relay Chat". It is a real-time environment where you can chat with other members of not only CEK, but the Dark Brotherhood as a whole. Many prominent members of both the Clan (myself, Braecen, Cym, Rakhai, Lucien, Godo, etc) and the DB (Grand Master Jac, Deputy Grand Master Mav, Herald Kaine, etc) use IRC to communicate with other members of the club.

IRC attendance is also a requirement for rank elevation in Clan Exar Kun. IRC is where we find the "leaders of tomorrow" for the Brotherhood, and is very important to creating a sense of community in the clan.
