To dry the pants of you folks who fear anything that has any semblance of 'order' or 'structure' (:P), they have also been renamed 'Rules and ACC Guidance' - paying particular attention to a lot of it being 'guidance' and not hard and fast - "do this or die!" stuff. Yea, there will always be stuff that can't be bent or broken, but some of it is based on circumstances.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6">SO Cyris, former CM, Operator and Trainer has left the ACC. He was one of the ones mentioned last week who felt they didn't have the time to devote to the Centre. As I said, he gets mad kudos for stepping up and stepping down without turning into one of those folks who warms a roster. I didn't even need to approach him about it. He has reserved the right to run a comp or two, which I will oblige, most likely... so Ashvroth II might poke it's head out in the future. Good luck to the mad Sith, once Krath, then Obelisk and now Sith :)</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="84%" bgcolor="#FF6600">Operations</td> <td width="5%" bgcolor="#FF9933"> </td> <td width="4%" bgcolor="#FFCC00"> </td> <td width="3%" bgcolor="#FFFF00"> </td> <td width="2%" bgcolor="#FFFF66"> </td> <td width="1%" bgcolor="#FFFF99"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6">After a couple of 'glitchy' days, the CHL has moved into the semi-finals. It took some time to get the last battle judged as the site wasn't playing nice :) Two battles of the ages will be going on, and I hope they are ones for the archive. SWL Vessicant will test hit mettle against the Adept, Halcyon; Two ACC staff members pit against each other... that should be nice for morale :) The other battle will consist of KAP Dark Sabre and Dark Side Adept Xanos Sadow... I gotta fear for DS on that one. Good luck to all!</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6">The Pilot Ladder has seen three pilots progress to the next round, while the rest continue to battle it out. Halc's doing a great job with that despite the problems the site has been having.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6">ACCLive! is trucking along as best as it can, so those who are finding their place there, just bear with it. We'll be getting into more PR with the system once the IG's are over; tournaments, one day killing sprees... stuff like that. Until then, just understand that the Live! system is solely based on the stability of the site.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="84%" bgcolor="#FF6600">Did you know?</td> <td width="5%" bgcolor="#FF9933"> </td> <td width="4%" bgcolor="#FFCC00"> </td> <td width="3%" bgcolor="#FFFF00"> </td> <td width="2%" bgcolor="#FFFF66"> </td> <td width="1%" bgcolor="#FFFF99"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6">Did you know that when an Operator, Judge or Trainer makes a boo-boo on a battle, it takes more than just them to fix it right? If a rating of a battle is overturned, the combatant should ensure that the Operator, Judge or Trainer are letting either me or DA Halcyon know about it - before they accomplish the adjustment to the battle. When the rating is changed, it doesn't remove the loss or win you had... it just adds a win, or a loss. One of the two involved prolly thinks that's fine (:P) but then you're ACC promoting ability is usually f-ed up. After the wins and losses stop adding up right, the system won't promote you automatically in most cases. Look how many of you have had to come to me to say, "hey, I'm supposed to be a Soldier, or a Gladiator..." - it's cause the system isn't recognizing your wins and losses, it's gotta be tweaked manually. ACC rank means extra points for toys and skills, so if you want it to keep being right, get the stuff fixed the right way.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td width="84%" bgcolor="#FF6600">Before I go...</td> <td width="5%" bgcolor="#FF9933"> </td> <td width="4%" bgcolor="#FFCC00"> </td> <td width="3%" bgcolor="#FFFF00"> </td> <td width="2%" bgcolor="#FFFF66"> </td> <td width="1%" bgcolor="#FFFF99"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6">Seems to me that there is, at least, one person out there who thinks that an opponent writing their own death, in a deathpost, is a forfeit... errr... do I need to cover how incorrect that is? Yea, I didn't think so... but, just in case: If you write your own death, you are NOT forfeiting! If your opponent writes their own death, they are NOT forfeiting! Forfeiting WILL BE obvious - like an OOC comment that says they concede/quit/forfeit... not a post that finishes the story.</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6">Aneewhoo... have a great weekend!</td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="6"> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>
