Greetings Disciples of Kun,

Another week passes and our little clan continues to grow in size and stability. While this is a tremendous feat, we must not become lax in our activity. It seems, to me, our Dark Knights, Equites and Elders (not all, but most) have become fat with rank and awards. I challenge all of those people not to settle for where they are today - strike out and garner more rank, more awards! It’s out there… take it!

A message to our newer members, the race to the rank of Dark JedI Knight is an enthralling race of testing your skills; it also hones you for life after Dark JedI Knight. Immerse yourself in the rich history and lore the Brotherhood provides, let only your imagination hold you back! Also, by accepting/requesting a Master you will advance through your ranks quicker because your Master will be your mentor and guide. Do not miss out on an opportunity to meet and develop relationships with your older members.

Ok, I am done rambling now… onto the more important matters!

Scholar of the Week

Impressive week at the Shadow Academy by our members, I saw the following members take time to further their scholarly studies: Archpriest Adam Anderson, Guardian Xan, Acolyte Archaon, Apprentice Mesas and Apprentice Viktor. Good work to you all, continue your training and show the people at the SA that Clan Exar Kun is not only devilishly good looking, but also quite smart!

However, there can only be one member that makes Scholar of the Week. One member stood out to me this week, not only by dedication to the Shadow Academy… but also a general interest in advancing rapidly in rank. This member jumped from Apprentice to Acolyte in 2 days! He completed 5 courses, most of them the pragmatic Sith courses. Congrats to our Scholar and newly minted Acolyte, Thran!

Competition News

Independence Games - Chi touched on this topic in his past email, I would just like to highlight a few points myself. All competitions open up on May 19th, you are allowed to participate in EVERY competition on the list! Clan Competitions - Lucien touched on this in his report several days ago. Our Clan competitions, and House Competitions, are special opportunities to every member in this Clan. Not only will you be eligible to win (Top 3 usually awarded), you will gain points for promotions and your work will be stored in the soon coming Clan archives. These Archives will record the legacy of our active members… compete in our competitions so that you may be forever remembered!

Game of the Week: X-Wing Alliance

 I warned you all that every week I will be highlighting a multiplayer game! So this weeks poison is a flight simulator and a darn good one to!  It’s single player element is amazing (for a game from forever ago) it places you in the shoes of a young freighter pilot who turns Rebel down the road. The story advances quite well and the mission layouts leave little doubt about what to do. As you tear through enemies you gain pilot prestige, nifty medals and cool souvenirs   

Onto multiplayer functions! You simply jump in the combat simulator, only a couple clicks away on your view panel. You click on ‘multiplayer’ (I know, duh!) and a nifty screen comes up inquiring whether you want to host or join a game. It is all based off of IP addresses, so decide prior to your battle whom will host and get their IP so you can join up. The battles are normally 5 minutes a piece, he whom kills the most… well… wins!  This game is accepted for Tuesday/Thursday/ICTE events and Sunday Tourneys! Have fun gamers!

The point of this entire report… lets get more active folks! I truly believe this group of individuals are the most talented people in the entirety of the Dark Brotherhood, lets use our Clan competitions to warm up for the Independence Games!
