Windos stood at the door to the Keeper’s meeting room; an old interrogation room within the Gladius base, insured his sun goggles where secure and entered after waving his hand over the security pad. Even through his goggles the light that flooded the rectangular room strained his artificial eyes.

He strode confidently to his place at the top of the rectangular table, placing a data pad next to the touch monitor at his station. “Greetings everyone” He said in his usual official, yet friendly tone. “First off, congratulations go to Sato and Levathan for their Dark Cross’s.”

“The Independence Games star on Thursday and I want to see all of you participating to the best of your ability; show pride in yourself, your circle, your house, your clan and most importantly the Dark Brotherhood as a hole.” Windos stopped talking and looked around at the troopers and tyro seated around him, looked down and made a few discreet taps on his monitor. “You can find more information and register for the games here…”

A few seconds later a message popped up on everyone’s screens: ‘http://www.independencegames.net/independence/index.php’

“I have organized another opportunity for you all to earn some new medals.” A giant 7x6 grid appeared above the holo projector. “A classic game of Connect Four, I have made an official entry for it in the Competitions section of the Brotherhood’s archives, under the title: [KOTN] Connect 4. Send me an e-mail if you wish to participate. When the competition starts I will email a list of who is playing out to the circle along with a copy of this grid. Challenge another member of the Keepers to a game, and if they accept, use Excel to make your move on the grid, then email it to your opponent, who will then make his move and e-mail it back to you, until one of you ‘connects four.”

“Anyone have any issues they wish to voice?” Windos waited and looked around the room, noticing that most present where playing card games on their monitors. “I shall take that as a no.” Windos leaned back on his seat. “Dismissed” He announced and waited for the members of the Keepers to file out of the room before turning off the lights and leaving for the Keepers library
