Konbanwa, meat puppets. The master is speaking- everyone shut their yaps and listen good, y'hear?

Firstly, and most importantly, the INDEPENDECE GAMES are now out and it's time to kick arse for the glory of Sadow once again. Hopefully, many other clans won't see the point in participating in this one- meaning that we have an excellent chance of snatching the gold from under their fat, bloated noses. Some of the events are kinda crazy (and I'm a bit pissed that mine didn't make it into the final selection, but meh ¬_¬) but still, if y'all participate you'll get medals and rewards- and glory. Which is better than medals and rewards since it gives you that warm glowing feeling inside. Aww.

Also on the competition front... yeah, you knew it was coming... Operation: Frozen Fortress. ^^ One more day for the ACC battles to be completed- on Monday I'll begin shutifying them down and jotting down the points on my little results sheet. You have been warned. Ph34r. After that the run-on will begin again on the message boards (http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showforum=62) is the location for those of you whom this applies to. Strangely, Jac/Khan still have to get back to me concerning awards... although that isn't a massive priority at the moment, I'll worry about awards when the operation begins to draw to a close. ^^

Also on the competition front, the Sadow Bar Brawl ends soon. Xhedias may have almost won this event by himself, but y'all still need to keep participating and fighting to make sure HMR takes this one home.

And in DB-wide news- we now have a definite release date for the Rebirth project. August 1st will be a mighty day- marking a whole new chapter in the story of this club. And from what I've seen of the current plans on the Rebirth forum... it looks stunning. I can only imagine what this will add to an already awesome club. You are now free to get excited. Go wild!

Medals, Promotions, Random Gubbins

Lots going on this week- this makes Manji happy. Now, onwards-

Medals: Phantom got a Dark Cross for rockin' out the PA. Yay!

Xhedias and Kat got Clusters of Fire for their multiplayer pwnage. W00t.

Promotions: Sharmin Wheyes was promoted to the rank of Acolyte. Woo!

New arrival Elitus was promoted to Novice then Acolyte in quick succession. Rockin'.

Plenty of Shadow Academy courses passed as well; Sharmin Wheyes passed the ICQ Studies and IRC Basics courses, Xhedias passed the PHP Programming I and Sith Tactics courses, and Elitus passed the Test of Wisdom. Sweet!

Also plenty of new/returning/leaving members... Firstly, Lexy left us for the Rogues due to personal reasons. :( Sucky. We also greet APP Constantine from the SA- welcome to HMR, Constantine. The bar is over there. And finally, say a big 'welcome back' to... Silver Raven, who returns from exile (a.k.a school >_<) Welcome back, dude.

The Weird and Wonderful World of your Quaestor...

Oh. My. God. Mindblowingly good, that movie is. In fact, I think it really is a fitting end to the Star Wars legacy. If you haven't seen it already- what the hell are you doing here, reading this report? You could be in the cinema having your head [Expletive Deleted] and your face melted by the pure, gutbustingly cinematic power of George Lucas' latest offering. And plus, if you're not already convinced, Yoda kicks arse. ^_^

Apart from that, not much has been happening in Manji's life... except the impending avalanche that is exams. Sucky. However, once they're over (9th of June) I'll be hitting Donnington Park to have my own head [Expletive Deleted] and my face melted by some super-powered, high-voltage rock at the Download festival. Mmmm. And just after that (24th of June) I'll be going to see the gods that are Audioslave as well. Rocking.

In Conclusion...

Go do stuff and make Manji happy. And go watch Episode III- it should renew your excitement in Star Wars and make you want to get out there and kick some arse in the name of the Dark Jedi. Rawr. Sayonara!
