Clan Plagueis Report for June 21, 2005

CONGRATULATIONS

It is with great pride that I announce the promotion of one of Clan Plagueis' key members to the rank of Krath Priest!

Lucien has served a "double duty" for the last few months as both the Knight Class Envoy (Clan Envoy) for Clan Plagueis AND as Aedile of Bane (and Byss before it). Not only has he served well in both positions, but exemplary.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Priest Lucien!

INDEPENDENCE GAMES

The final days of the Independence Games are here and Clan Plagueis stands to do very well. We have led the way in activity through most of the games, and our final scoring should reflect that.

Proconsul Braecen has released an email outlining our strategy to do even better in the final standings, so be sure to read his mails on the subject!

I cannot overstate how pleased I am with the way you guys have stepped up to show the DB what we're made of!

NEW AEDILES APPOINTED

We've appointed two new Aediles in the last week. It is my pleasure to announce that Cyris has agreed to take on the position of Aedile in House Satal Keto to work alongside Warhunter. Cyris has shown himself to be an incredibly dedicated member with a firm interest in seeing Clan Plagueis excel. I look forward to what he's able to do as an Aedile and a summit member in Clan Plagueis.

In addition, I have asked Lucien to focus on the next stage of our Master/Student program, so he will be stepping down as Aedile of House Bane to center his attention on his Envoy duties. Stepping up to fill the position will be Lusankya. Since his return to active duty, Lusankya has shown himself to be a great boon to the Clan and I know he will perform well in his new duties.

MASTER/STUDENT PROGRAM FOR DJK+

After some more thinking/consultation with various members, I am just about ready to proceed with the initial stages of this program.

There will be no set tasks for this program, and each curriculum shall be custom designed for the member. Initially, I will be the only Master for members of Dark Jedi Knight and higher, and I will focus on developing members who do not have summit positions.

The tasks will be geared towards each person's interests. Gamers will be challenged to game as much as possible, writers will be given great works of fiction to complete (on a specific topic). There may well be some cross-over, as I know many members have more than one interest.

If you are interested in becoming a part of this program, are of the rank of Dark Jedi Knight or higher, and hold no summit positions (AED to CON), email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. I have already agreed to take on one student (Sunflash), and will be selecting one or two more.

Also of note is that from this point on, I will no longer take on students below the rank of DJK so that I can focus on developing those in the Clan who wish to be the leaders and noteworthy members of tomorrow.

INTERNET RELAY CHAT (IRC)

Internet Relay Chat is a real-time chat environment where members of the Clan and of the whole Brotherhood can interact. The Dark Brotherhood has had a "channel" (chat room), #db, on the Undernet for at least 8 years now, and it hosts a large community of our members, including such notables as Grand Master Jac and Deputy Grand Master Mav. Clan Plagueis also has a very active channel (sometimes moreso than the main channel!), #plagueis.

We encourage IRC activity, as it gives us a chance to get to know and interact with members of the club. I have made many friends through the Brotherhood over the years, and all of these relationships were formed on IRC. In fact, IRC activity is so important to the future vitality of the Brotherhood, that it is required in Clan Plagueis for advancement to your Trials of Knighthood.
