The shadows of history haunt us.

My apologies for the late report, I've been stuck helping my brother move house and I put my back out carrying his TV. I'm back though :)

The Independence Games have finished. Going by my activity tracker, and the IG website, we did fairly poorly. Those who did not participate have been flagged for future removal, and I will be putting together some emails to explain this tomorrow.

INDEPENDENCE GAMES

Final tally stands at 14 people registered, and 10 active. Thats a rate of nearly 38.5% across the House, and 71.4% of those who registered. A little disappointing - I remember when this competition was considered the "holy grail" of sorts, but there is a downward DB-wide trend evident on the IG site.

In any event, I have a few medals to request for people. I shall hold off until next week to see if anyone wins any events - so that I can request shinier medals :) Everyone who did participate has had this noted on a new Excel sheet I'm running to track everyone in general.

COMPETITIONS

This months topics are "competition" and "fate". I'd prefer prose (story) for the former and poetry for the later, but I'm flexible :) Send your submissions to me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] in .doc or .txt format and remember to include your ID line at the end so I can tell who you are :P

So far I have received two submissions (thanks Alex and Karan :). I hope for more, of course, but there are only a couple of days before I close this down. Next month's fiction will be a lot more "open".
