Currently there are 7 spots already taken. These are 1) Individuals who got bumped from the first ladder and replied properly, one way or another, to the request for their status and 2) The Semi-Finalists and Finalist from the 1st CHL. The current list includes PIN's 2556, 3558, 6, 3607, 43, 3383 and 188. Again, the signups will go 'unlimited' initially - if a sufficient number is reached to allow the ladder to set up, signups will be closed and any overages will be bumped to the next round. Like the 1st CHL, from start to finish the ladder takes a LONG time - it ran from March 11th to August 12th - 5 months! - and that's with a few timing-out battles. So I wouldn't expect any less time for this.
