Aedile Report

Greetings,

Hello House Bane!. Its been about two weeks since my last report but I figured all hell hasn't broken loose, not that it should have. But yeah............I just went nowhere with that.

We need to get down to business with this Aedily stuff that well, needs attention to. So I've got some quick things to mention first before I getr into the "Juicier Side" of things.

So here we go,

ORoS-Obelisk Rite of Supremacy. This is an email from Warhunter that he sent out to the Clan. Be sure to read this, VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

"What is the Obelisk Rite of Supremacy?

This event is a DB-wide competition, hosted by the Obelisk High Commander. In past times when the Brotherhood was Order-specific, the ORoS was held as a competition between Obelisk Houses to determine which was the strongest and most loyal to the Obelisk Order, which afterwards would award the victor as the 'First House of the Obelisk' (much like the Great Jedi War awards the victor the title of 'First Clan of the Brotherhood'). The event ran for an average time of a month and followed a storyline built by the OHC. Present Day, the event is still hosted by the OHC and Obelisk order but because of the Multi-Order Nature of the Brotherhood, it is not limited to Obelisk members anymore. All orders may participate in the selected events, which are not longer limited to just the JK series.

I am Krath/Sith, can I participate?

Yes. As stated above, all orders are allowed to participate. If you have either: JA, JO, JK, BF, Allegiance, can write, or battle in the ACC then "you are golden" (means your good to go ;) ) As well, XvT and XWA might be making an appearance in the event in the future.

NOTE: At this moment you can not battle in the ACC yet for the competition. Once the clans start fighting each other in the storyline then the ACC will be opened. As for writing, a new event has opened up in the ORoS and details are included at the bottom of this email in bold

What are the rewards for this event?

Because this is a DB-wide event Novae and CFs are being offered. If after each round you come in the top 3 for one of the games being used you can earn yourself a Nova. CFs follow the same rules as MP Nights and ICTE days. In addition, because this is the Obelisk Rite of Supremacy the clan will be earning some "Obelisk-related" prizes depending on our placement. (i haven't heard what is up for grabs but im assuming artifacts/ground vehicles/ect.)

SPECIAL NOTE: The new ECF is being offered on special days. Beat a guardsman and earn this rare medal. Watch the news page to know when the reward is available.

Why should I participate?

Three Reasons: 1) To earn yourself some nice shiny medals. 2) To earn merit towards your next promotion and 3) To show your loyalty to the clan, and prove to the Brotherhood that our IG'05 win was not based on luck.

Im going off to school/I'm really busy with work, is it alright to skip the competition?

Real Life sucks, we all know it and no one holds it against you. However, because of the seriousness of this event I ask every member to participate at least a couple times during the event. I would suggest to try for at least 3-5 games a week if you are really busy (cuz honestly a game is only 5-10 mins at most) and make sure your superior knows of your current state.

I can't find an opponent, what do I do?

Don't give up! Make sure you are in #gmrg at all times and try to promote yourself, as well jump onto the servers and see if theres anyone there that is free for a match. If all else fails, talk to me. I know i can't compete against you but I be more than happy to find you an opponent. Just remember that it takes time, as well if you complain or are rude in anyway it could hurt the number of ppl who would want to free up time for you. As well, remember that if someone says they are busy, ask for the reason but don't bug them about it. if they are busy, then they are usually busy.

I don't have any of the games, I don't write, and i don't like the ACC. What can I do?

Well honestly, that doesn't give you much choice in the DB. However, there are always other things you can do. Talk to me about it, fore I always have things people can do and I take pride and making sure they are rewarded for their efforts, even if it means making an ass of myself to the summit to get it ;)"

Shadow Academy-

For those new people, I dont think there are any new members recently. Okay but if you are still having trouble finding out what the Shadow Academy is...allow me to explain.

When you joined the DB you were most likely required to take a test. The Test of Lore is your first test to complete. This ensures that you have a place in a clan. If you are a low-class Journeymen, take some SA tests. These will most likely earn yourself a higher promotion. It's not that great of an advancement but I earned myself three promotion in my first three days alone. And I completed about 7 SA courses in my first week.

How Can I get some Awards, or Promotions?

Some people have come to me saying that they don't think the Summit rewards it's members fairly, or "hands out" promotions enough. Well sorry to tell you. But face the facts people. You have to

do" something for an award or promotion. The SA is the best alternative to promotions and such. But its not everything. I did do alot I'm told in my first week and never received anything of it. But if you always ask for an award or promotion it shows and reflects on you as an impatient person. And on your road to DJK you'll have to have ALOT of patience. (Believe me. When it comes to patience....I know it and I know it well.) Now it may seem at times that things are too challenging in the DB. But a word of advice to you. "Go see what the EH is like."

Drodik you gerk, why didn't you have a report last week?

Some of you noticed I said, "I am going to have a report for you all on Tuesday of every week." Well sorry to say, I am moving my report nights to Friday night. I like Fridays, Ever since gradeschool. And With college and syuff, a friday nnight is much more convenient. Plus I can watch "Nip-Tuck" without being at a computer. So yeah...I am moving reports to every friday from................NOW!
