House News

Aedile and Envoy opening

Congratulations go to Virulence for his appointment to Proconsul. It is encouraging to know This week was a flurry of administrative stuff for me. I apologize for any sort of neglect I may have shown towards the house, it was not my intention. As for now I have an Aedile and an Envoy in line, please do not apply. Look for an announcement later this week in regards to these positions.

ACC for Obelisk Rite of Supremacy (as posted on the Plagueis site, and the plagueis email)

I have had quite a few people ask me this week, "When do we get to participate in the ACC for the ORoS?" Well here is the answer:

Whenever another Clan attacks our held area (which is currently 30%) we will take the battle to the ACC.

As you can see Tarentum and CSP are the ones closest to us, so those of you proficient with the ACC be prepared to fight members from those clans possibly in the next turn.

For now, those of us that have been fighting in the multiplayer gaming realm we will continue to do our best.

House Website

As I said last week I need someone to assist me in the maintenance of the website. Virulence helped a lot with various areas, and now that he is PCON he has bigger and more important things to deal with. I really am in need for someone to assist with the website. So please email me if you are interested, awards are in order for anyone that helps me in the slightest way. Here is my current project list for the website:

* Make the navigation bar more 'cool' looking  

* Create some tutorials for members to follow for basic competitions (graphics, writing, ACC, etc.)  

* Try and use some of the suggestions made from the message board post here -  http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1682  

It is the "House" site, not my own. If you want to contribute to it, email me with an idea, again awards are in order for those you that want to help.

House History

For far too long has our house been without a history, I am looking for those of you who have the knack for this sort of thing to step up. Here is what I am looking for:

* Someone to lead the effort  

* A compiled list of past leaders in HSK and CSK (including Aleema, Kirleta, and Galthain)  

* A fictional story of how HSK came to be  

* A story of how CSK fell  

* Listings of some previous achievements of CSK and HSK  

I will contribute what I can to this, but again I am begging you guys to help me with these things. Awards will be in order for those that help.

How am I doing?

Believe it or not I have been the Quaestor of this fine house for almost a month now. I have been asking a few of you your thoughts on how I have been doing on IRC. * How have I done at meeting *your* needs as Quaestor?  

* What can I do to improve?  

* Is there anything you want to see in the house for the future?  

Feel free to give constructive critisicm. I am not asking for an exhaustive analysis, but the person who I feel like gives the most help will receive a nice shiny medal. Helping me do my job better shows dedication to the house and clan folks, and I think that should be awarded above everything else.

House Activities

This week I will attempt to include some of the competitions that you guys can participate in since we don't have our usual Aedile report listing them all. I have made some comments under each in italics for everyone in case they can't think of anything to do.

House Logo Competition

House Satal Keto is in need of a new look. Members of the House have been called out to design a new logo.

Unlike other graphic competitions, this one has opportunity for those that are less than able with graphics programs. Those that are able to use paint can even participate and possibly win!

• 1st place for the winning Graphic

• 2nd place for the most humorous/creative graphic

• 3rd place for the most submissions from one member

Members are to submit their designs to Arso.

Graphics can be a maximum of 800 x 600 pixels in size, and MUST be in JPEG format. Everything else goes (no porn, or stuff like that though).

This competition should be easy for everyone, all you have to do is go into paint, write the words, House Satal Keto, and then BAM you have a submission. I want everyone to be involved in this, and there are awards for those of you who are not so good at graphics, but are witty, or are overactive. So try and submit some before the deadline on October 5th.

House Caption Competition

Click through the 10 images and come up with a humorous caption for each. Send all captions and their corresponding image numbers in .doc or .txt format to [Log in to view e-mail addresses]

The member with the most funny captions wins.

This competition ends on Thursday.

People, this is easy. Just looking at the pictures Virulence found will crack you up. Even if you can't think of something for all of them, send in what you can so the whole clan can see how funny Satal Keto is.

Clan Plagueis Current Events

As a new clan forged from two different pasts, our struggle for a individual Clan Identy has become our primary focus. As such, we need to fill our archives with interesting and historical data of Plagueis, its Houses, and its membership.

Disciples of Plagueis are asked to write a one and a half to two page (1.5-2 pgs) story of the recent events within and surrounding the Clan. This could be about any Summit changes or anything that has caught your eye. Must be an event before September 30th. Send your entries to Drodik.

Here is a tip, write about how your Aedile became the Proconsul of the entire clan and how sad the QUA was. Then write about our misfortures in the Obelisk Rite of Supremacy. There are a couple topics, go with them...

Closing Remarks

I was reading over what I have been saying in this part the past couple times, it is all so dumb. So I am just going to ramble about anything I want in regards to life; my own or my "DB" life.

Here is a little bio about myself in real life: I live in the Charlotte, NC area and am currently a student in college. I am a political science education major, which means I will teach high schoolers social studies in the future. I am christian, but not one of those fire and brimstone religious right people, I am of the peaceful type that don't confuse religious beliefs with gov't laws. Much of my time is spent with my wonderful fiance. We will be married next summer in the mountains of North Carolina. My favorite music consists of Matthew Good, Howie Day, Karl's Denson's Tiny Universe, Soulive, Damien Rice, etc. That's about it for me.

Anyways, now that you know me a bit better, go participate in a competition, help with one of the various house projects, and enjoy life.
