What's Important...> Well, guys and dolls. First off, I apologize for the lack of a "real" report last week. Work proceeds well on my research paper for Intermediate class, as well as my persuasive and research projects for English. Those are really the only things that have kept me from getting stuff done that I wanted to do. However, nothing has really been delayed, just lagged a bit.

I've had several people ask me about the Sith War. Some typical questions are, "What games will be utilized?" "Is it our Order's version of the RoS?" "How can I prepare for the RoS? (or) How can I help my [insert unit here] prepare for the RoS?" Just to answer people as directly as possible, this is not going to be an "old schoool" Sith War. Some people may remember that, in the past, Sith Wars would have been "flying comps." That's not the case anymore. Even forgetting the whole "no Order restrictions" thing, I just don't see a flying competition as being that fun. I plan on using as many games as I can, as long as they fit my vision of what I want to put forth. So basically, the games that will be utilized are the games that fit. Personally, as I said before (in asking for SP mission-makers), I'd like to utilize at least XvT and XWA, JO and JA, SWGB (Muz will be making the SP campaign), Allegiance and Battlefront (probably both Battlefront and Battlefront II), and whatever else hits me. Battlefront II will definitely be out in time for the Sith War, and I have tentative plans to use it. Empire at War MAY be out in time to use it, but we'll see.

As far as if the "Sith War is an RoS," yes and no. In my mind, there are two types of Vendettas. There are Rites of Supremacy, and then there are "regular" Vendettas where you're working for ships, fighters, other possessions, etc. I think lately, the two have been mixed, and the lines have been confused. In all honesty, I'm not quite sure yet what this War will be. I may be looking to announce a "First Clan," and such, or I may just look to offer chances to fill up fleets and fighters. The best thing I can say to do is, just be ready for whatever. You'll either get bragging rights, or possessions, or both (if I decide to blur the lines, too).

And as to how you can prepare for this? Well, just get your people active, help them work on their strong points, as well as develop their weaknesses. This is going to involve gaming, but this won't just be gaming. Yes, that means I plan on utilizing writing as well. I plan on utilizing the ACC, too. I guess you could say I don't just see this as a "Sith War," so much as I see this as a "War" put on by the Sith Order. That may sound confusing, but I see it as two different things. I don't plan on adhering to any old stereotypes, and I do plan on making this as fun and as interesting as possible. Hopefully, I will reach these goals for you all.

What's Not...> Although it is important, it's also not important. I still have things going on for the Sith Order website, but really, that's going to be a work in progress. It's a matter of defining what;s important to the Order, what needs to be "very public," that can't be so with the DB site and other resources. It's also a question of what I want the site to be, what you want the site to be, etc. Work on that has slowed, but again, it's not been stopped. Just lagged a bit. If anyone has any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, complaints, winning lottery tickets, beauiful sisters, plans to take over the world... send them my way.

What's Interesting...> We have a new DGM. I still have to joke that it's Taldryan nepotism; Jac and Mav, and now Jac and Kir. Oddly enough, all of them former Taldryan Consuls. It's a conspiracy I tell you. The fact that I agree with Kir as DGM means nothing, especially when I'm ribbing Jac, or Kir, or anyone else. Congratulate Kir, please, but also give them shit about it. It's all in fun. Besides, if you can't poke fun at your leaders, who can you?

Also interesting, it's not that far away. What am I talking about? Well, the release date for Episode III and Battlefront II is what I'm talking about. November 1st, people. Make sure to get out there and get yours. I'm sure most of you are planning to get Episode III. I'd encourage everyone to pick up a copy of Battlefront II while you're there. Hell, I already have Battlefront II on pre-order; I don't even have Episode III pre-ordered. I think Battlefront II is going to be a great game. It's going to be a massive improvement upon Battlefront. The first game had it's pros and cons, but it took too long to get some of the drawbacks taken care of. With this game, they've taken a whole new meaning to "making things better." There's a beta for it out there, but I'm waiting for the real deal, so I can make an accurate assumption of things, and really see how great it will be. For those who want to wait and see, after I get it and play it, I'll definitely be making a review. You can wait to hear what I think of it, but plan on getting it.

What's Happening...> Currently, Clans should be working on getting people trained and active. Also, people should be preparing for Halloween. If you don't like this pagan holiday, I'll kill you all as heretics and infidels. Halloween is awesome, good fun, people. Dress your kids up, take them trick-or-treating. If you don't have kids, get dressed up and go to a Halloween Party. If you don't know of any parties, dress up and throw a Halloween Party. Do something. Be active, be social, live life. It's actually pretty fun to, you know, meet people. Maybe you'll be dressed up as Anakin Skywalker, and you'll find your nerd Padme Amidala just waiting for you to sweep her off her feet. Or, alternatively, maybe you'll be dressed as Princess Leia, and your Han Solo will come rushing in, ready to rub you the wrong way, only to find his way into your heart in the next movie. Or any other combination. Maybe you'll be Luke Skywalker and find the Lando Calrissian of you dreams; or Mon Mothma will find out that she likes voluptuous, young Twi'lek dancers. Who knows. Anything is possible on Halloween, people. Go out and have fun.

Anything Else...> Oh yeah. Shadow got promoted to DA. How horrid is that? Elder Thrustworthy. Doesn't that just make you want to shudder and convulse, and hope that he doesn't learn how to toss Penii Lightning around? How wretched would that be. Bend over and feel the Dark Side. Heh. Just kidding. Congrats Shadow.

To Wrap it up...> It's all good stuff. If you've read this far, go back and read it again. Personally, I just hope people are actually reading these. There's actually useful info in the reports people put out for you, and odds are, at least 60% of questions you have could be answered by reading through DC and Summit reports. So make sure you're actually giving it the time of day to read through and gain knowledge, or don't bitch and complain when people don't see the point in putting out reports. :P In any event, read this, read other reports, even if you only just skim through it, and see if there's anything interesting, or anything you may be wondering about.
