Herald Report

Word to a brother and a mentor

I would like to begin my first news post as the new Herald of the Brotherhood by personally and publicly thanking Kaine Mandaala for everything he has brought to this club. There is a lot more to this man than ever met the eye. His devotion, his care, and a large fraction of his work occurred from behind the scenes and away from our eyes, and all of that, all for which this man truly shines for, played a dire role in growth of this club. It is easily claimed that this club would not be the same without Kaine, without his vision, and without the long hours he devoted for us.

From the time I returned to the Brotherhood, almost three years ago now, Kaine has been a true friend, a true brother to me, and much like the Dark Brotherhood, I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. It is unlikely that I would be a Dark Side Adept, and that much more unlikely that I would have the honor to serve you, the membership, as Herald. I have come to know him, and anyone who personally know him will agree, as a try comrade, always there though your ups and downs, always there to laugh with and simply never to busy to spare time for a friend.

To all the good times past, present, and to come, I raise my glass.

Thank you, Kaine Mandaala, your name shall be remembered for long years. You are a true part of this club’s history in blood, sweat, and spirit. It is a true honor to be your successor and I have the shoes of a giant to fill.

Praetor to the Herald

Simply put, applications for Praetor to the Herald will not be needed. The person to step in and fill my tiny tap-dancer shoes as Praetor, and it should be no surprise, shall be Muz Ashen Keibatsu.

He has played a key role in the Grant of Arms replacement over the last weeks and has a bustling (not to mention brilliant) gallery of custom lightsabers created for members of this club. A great artist, a true voice of wisdom, and a good friend is what I need as an assistant and partner, and all of these are found in Muz.

Regard him with respect in his actions for they are sealed with my approval and my trust.

The rest of my staff will be chosen shortly. Feel free to send your applications to my email with a sample of your work if you are an artist, and a description of what you could (and would wish to) accomplish as Magistrate.

The times ahead

First and foremost, I will be designing the Seal of Conquest that needs to be awarded for the Obelisk Rite of Supremacy. It is long overdue (and that is my fault) and will be ready ASAP.

Beyond the seal, I will be taking a few days to review and compile a list of the Herald’s tasks and projects. There is much to do, namely figure out what is happening with the Star Wars Gaming News website, Warbanners and building a new Herald website (and reviewing old documents).

I will be sitting with Lord Cotelin in the upcoming days to discuss this.

Concerning the warbanners

The primary GoA replacement ended last weekend. Requests are now closed so please do not contact myself or my staff for updates or new warbanners. I will review the situation and lay out the tasks ahead. I am hoping to open warbanners for request to all the membership in the upcoming weeks.

Send custom lightsabers for approval to my email, as it used to work with Kaine.

gratz again, marmotte! =P
